Commercial Banking (CB) delivers extensive industry knowledge, local expertise and dedicated service to more than 24,000 global clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions and not-for-profit organizations along with nearly 35,000 real estate investors/owners. 
The Business Analysis & Reporting Analyst will join a global Management Reporting & Analytics team, assisting with a data & management reporting development agenda for regulatory operations. The candidate will learn core business processes, build new data mart capabilities, develop metrics/management reporting, and provide decision support via ad hoc reporting and data analytics.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes in order to extract insights from existing data while identifying and recommending source system enhancements to improve data quality
  • Extract and load new data sources into SQL data mart environments using primarily the SSIS toolset, ensuring that strong data quality controls are in place
  • Define, monitor, and report key business metrics; implement and manage various reporting processes and dashboards using primarily SSRS, Tableau, and/or Qlikview toolsets
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests, “what-if” scenario modeling, and regulatory inquiries
  • Utilize project management best practices to track book of work priorities, communicate updates, and manage projects to successful completion; explain data concepts & challenges clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Expert on Data Warehousing concepts and proven experience of handling end to end complex Data Warehousing Projects.
  • Stresses on Innovation, reusable and standard best practices.
  • Execute and Deliver executive level reports
  • Leverage SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Business Objects (BO), SQL, Access, Excel, and SharePoint to deliver complex management reporting automation.
  • Communicate with global stakeholders and senior team members to understand requirements and define solutions

Required Qualifications

    • 6+ years of total experience within MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles; must have expert-level, demonstrated knowledge of one or more data & business intelligence concepts including ETL, Data Modeling, SQL Query Development, Reporting Automation, and/or Dashboarding and Data Warehousing
    • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality, senior manager-level reporting and analysis from diverse, complex data sources.  Attention to detail a must with focus on executive quality presentation
    • Self-starter; demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks independently with minimum supervision
    • Team player; Excellent communication, project management, and client partnership ability
    • Expert-level ability expected in SQL query writing.  Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, PowerPoint)
    • Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and exposure to one or more Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms: SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), Qlikview, Business Objects, Crystal, SQL/Oracle/Teradata, etc.  Experience with Qlikview a plus.
    • Knowledge of SharePoint, VBA is plus
    • MCA/BE required; quantitative focus / advanced study a plus
