CIB - F&BM - EMEA Exotics Equity Product Controller – Associate
The EMEA Equities business is split into several core businesses, of which the role will be sitting in the Equity Exotics PC team: 
  • Exotics – Providing complex structures and products to meet client’s needs. 
The primary function is reconciling and reporting the daily P&L and Risks & VAR to traders, Market Risk Coverage and senior management.
In addition to the production of the daily P&L and Risks & VAR, the role will include working on producing associated reporting for governance control meetings.
The role requires extensive interaction with FO traders, Financial Control and Operations, as well as exposure to Market Risk and Valuation Control Group, and various other functions throughout the bank. 
The primary responsibilities of the role are: 
  • Daily production and control on Exotics P&Ls such as Index Algo, Index Mono and substantiating adjustments to P&L, Risk and Balance Sheet as per PC Minimum Standard
  • Greek exposure reporting and P&L analysis using NRG and Scala Evo UI.
  • Substantiation of exceptions between Balance sheet / GL and Front Office systems
  • Daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly P&L and balance sheet commentaries
  • Generate risk reports and investigate risk reporting related queries
  • Generate, analyze  and reconcile sensitivities and VAR and provide sign off on daily basis in market risk reporting system
  • Month end/Quarter end tasks on FX trade in, IBT rebate process, Ledger vs P&L Aggregator reconciliation
  • Monthly MIS reporting on the relevant exotics desks 
The role will require front to back view of control agenda and the candidate will have oversight of month end reconciliations performed by Financial Control team and production of month end MIS reporting for senior management and other stakeholders including auditors.
Skills Required:
  • Good derivatives products knowledge especially on exotics products, including solid understanding of the Greeks.
  • Good knowledge of Balance sheet and accounting, preferably within the Banking industry.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and ability to identify and drive though changes
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum
