We are sourcing a specific role within Chase Card Services for a Director of Strategy, Planning, Execution and Governance for the Consumer Card IT and Business Books of Work. The role involves creating, governing and executing on the technology strategy and the annual project book of work while governing the health of Cards applications.
This individual will be responsible for co-creating our technology strategy in partnership with our business and technology colleagues. Day to day responsibility for delivering a complex technology program portfolio all while providing insights on the health of our eco-systems of technologies. Proven strategic and execution experience with collaboration and influencing skills in large matrix organizations is a must. If you have experience and are interested in helping transform our organization utilizing the latest delivery methodologies (Agile) and technologies (API’s, Cloud etc) to ensure we remain number one in our market we would like to meet you.
· Technology Strategy
· Experience in developing a multi-year technology strategy
· Proven approaches to communicating and reporting said strategy
· Ability to communicate and present strategy to executives and staff at all levels
· Experience in building communication and change management plans and approachs
· Program Execution
o Leads very large complex programs across multiple Lines of Business utilizing Agile methodologies
o Communicates to and partners with executive leadership across LOBs and the Consumer Card Chief Administrative Officer and his team to deliver across multiple CEO-sponsored books of work.
o Leads teams of Project Execution and Business Analysis resources in the execution of complex projects and programs
o Governing and manages demand for the department to ensure successful execution of the book of work
· General Skills
o Manages budget for Card IT in conjunction with Business Management; monitors progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly
o Manages and evaluates performance. Ensures goals and development plans are created and tracked, delivers performance reviews that are meaningful and provide constructive feedback, coaches and mentors employees and rewards them based on merit.
o Maintains a strong system of internal governance and controls
o Builds teams that succeed by continually assessing the deliverables and aligning team members with the appropriate skills
o Creates a client centric environment for team and contributors
Team player and influencer in large complex organizations
Expectations & Desired Qualities/Experience:
The role is based in Wilmington, DE and involves frequent interactions with cross-CCB and global teams within J.P. Morgan Chase. The successful and qualified candidate will have 10+ years of IT experience in the broader financial services industry. Previous program management and/or resource management experience is preferred.
