The Commercial Banking Head of Talent and Development will report to the Head of HR for the Commercial Bank and the Head of Talent & Diversity for JPMC.  The position represents an exciting opportunity to drive change in a rapidly evolving space. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the transformation, design, strategy, and execution of key learning, talent development and diversity initiatives across the Commercial Bank and firm wide JPMC HR landscape.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and transform the CB talent organization as it relates to talent processes, succession planning, diversity, change management and development programs
  • Work with Leadership Edge and managers to ensure we have a leadership and management development program in alignment with firm-wide four levels of management training
  • Lead the Talent Management Program and succession planning, ensuring that we are developing internal talent for future critical roles across the Commercial Bank
  • Manage the change management processes related to big organizations shifts, product development, talent and leadership initiatives
  • Manage the diversity agenda for the CB businesses establishing our long term diversity plan and partnering with business leaders and business diversity councils to drive awareness, recognition and development
  • Partner with the Head of Recruiting to lead the initiative to build a best in class onboarding experience for our new hires and transfers, consistent with the JPMC leadership attributes and talent agenda
  • Develop a clear picture of talent & development programs and expenditures throughout the business 
  • Maximize opportunities for use of talent systems and processes
  • Work closely with the business on the workforce of the future/reskilling efforts
  • Collaborate with corporate talent & development executives and other line of business development heads to ensure a consistent approach where appropriate, share best practices, and drive talent management practices for our learning and development agenda firm-wide
  • Serve as the resident expert in coaching, mentoring, skills assessment, etc.
  • Partner with the HR business partners to drive a talent and diversity strategy that enhances the business in the short and long-term
  • Get to know top talent and coach them on career growth within the business and across the organization
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of Human Resources experience with a strong background in Development, Diversity and Talent Management
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or advanced degree preferred
  • Exceptional client management skills
  • Expertise in learning, organization development and leadership development
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills 
  • Ability to partner with senior leaders and employees at all levels to design, obtain buy-in, manage a budget and deliver programming which provides value-added impact to the business
  • Progressive, transformative and innovative
  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership on trends in talent, diversity and development
  • Strong blend of technical capability, marketing ability, change agent, business savvy and pragmatic in approach
  • Highly consultative and collaborative with a demonstrated ability to marshal resources across various lines of business to deliver against goals
  • Demonstrated ability to move between the strategic and tactical responsibilities with ease
  • A track record of developing direct reports for broader roles and seen as an exporter of talent
