JPMorgan Investor Services Quantitative Research team is looking for a strong quant to support all quantitative aspects of the Equity Finance & Delta 1 businesses.
The team is responsible for developing and maintaining models for valuation, risk, P&L calculations as well as balance sheet and inventory optimization.

Specifically, the responsibilities of the team include new model specification, going through model approval, model implementation, as well as integration into production systems.




The opportunity is to join our New York team with a focus on Prime Brokerage, Synthetic Financing and Delta 1.


Key responsibilities could include:

  • Take lead on balance sheet and inventory optimization initiatives
  • Enhance pricing of client transactions in Prime Brokerage
  • Analyse risk in Prime Brokerage portfolios
  • Provide insights into client behaviour
  • Develop pricing models for complex D1 transactions and analyse hedging strategies
  • Document and test new/existing models with traders and with other various control groups, such as the Model Review Group 
  • Implementation of models in C++ and Python proprietary libraries
  • Work closely with technology on model integration with front end applications
  • Requirements
    The role requires a combination of a structured approach to problem solving, a can-do mind set working in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills are essential in our interaction with business, technology, and control functions. A healthy interest in good software design principles is a requirement as well as a minimum Master’s degree or equivalent in a numerate subject or computer science from a top academic institution.
    Essential skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
    • Excellent Math background and knowledge of Financial Engineering
    • Experience building Machine Learning models (TensorFlow / Keras / Caffe / Theano)
    • Strong communication/presentation skills
    • Strong programming skills (C++, Python)
    • Knowledge of Prime Brokerage business is a plus
    • Experience in inventory optimization is a plus
    • Advanced degree in a technical field from a top-tier school/program: engineering, sciences, computer science, applied math
