Group Description:
The Risk Control Office’s primary function is to solidify an effective Firmwide control framework, looking within and across the lines of business to identify, measure and remediate control issues.  O&C partners with all other control disciplines (e.g. Compliance, Risk and Audit) as an additional line of defense to the Firm’s control environment. 
The Firmwide Risk O&C Team works in partnership with the Chief Risk Officers and their teams in assessing their risks, and the associated controls to mitigate them. Risk O&C closely tracks identified issues and controls gaps, and enforces and facilitates their remediation. Additionally, it provides transparency and insight to senior management, and key stakeholders such as regulators and the board of directors, through robust reporting and control committees.
Risk O&C provides global coverage across the North America, EMEA, APAC and LATAM, for all the risk functions and lines-of-business that ultimately reports into the Firm’s Chief Risk Officer
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Full end to end ownership of all User Tools (UT) across the group
  • Control oversight, analysis and monitoring of all User Tools (UT)
  • Proactive and ongoing support of all UT owners / delegates to ensure ongoing compliance with Firmwide UT policies (including training & attestation)
  • Full end to end ownership of all Third Party Oversight activities (TPO) across the group
  • Implement and embed robust Quality Assurance control checks around UT & TPO processes process
  • Efficiency & automation of UT & TPO control oversight activities
  • Delivery of both tactical and strategic enhancements to the existing UT & TPO control oversight activities
    Non UT & TPO responsibilities may include:
  • Assist the Office of Legal Obligation team (OLO) in the execution of the day to day workflow, tracking / monitoring of legal obligation mapping through the Risk OLO Op Model lifecycle

  • Working closely with Firmwide Risk and Risk Line of Business aligned subject matter experts to assist and provide guidance in supporting resolution of any open items that impact project goals and timelines.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Background in Controls or QA would be ideal but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow through on tasks /issues.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills; ability to build consensus and history of success working in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities and monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes.
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge processes and seek out answers.
  • Proficient skills in Excel & PowerPoint
