Job Description:

As a Data Warehouse Applications Support Workload Automation Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, build and support of migration to DevOps for workload automation and scheduling solutions for CCB Data Ecosystem. The role will include level 3 support and advanced troubleshooting of  production issues and coordinate with other teams to remediate issue related to workload of the ETL Big Data environment. Become exported in primary workload automation tool used for job scheduling. The role also involves engaging and partnering with AD teams, and various platform owners like TD, ETL, BI, etc. and also interfacing with executive and sr. management with status of DevOps progress and production issues. 

  • Provide technical leadership for CCB Workload Automation Team
  • Lead and/or Manage DevOps operating model for Workload Automation.
  • Become subject matter expert in Control-M environment
  • Responsible to support process improvements to continuously improve the stability and performance of the applications.
  • Design and lead solution required for Control-M to interface with tools needed to support DevOps model, environment includes Subversion, Netcool, Atrium, Oracle, Edge, Change to
  • Perform service transition from development to support
  • Analyze Workload data for performance and metrics based reporting
  • Prioritize workload, provide timely and accurate solutions.
  • Perform in-depth research and identify sources of production issues.
  • Effectively perform root cause analysis of issues and report the outcome to business community and Management as needed for Workload environment
  • Develop / utilize core support tools and processes to perform work while improving day-to-day practices for support team members with the goal of delivering service improvements to the business.
  • Coordinate and work with the global production support team

  • BA/BS Degree or related experience 
  • 7+ years of experience building and/or supporting applications in a large Unix and RDBMS environment
  • 5+ years coding Unix shell scripts, or other scripting language, to support large space applications
  • Lead and mentor experience
  • Experience with Batch Scheduling tools such as Control-M
  • Experience with Linux and AIX platforms
  • Ability to analyze data using complex SQL
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt evolving technology
  • Knowledge of open source tools and utilities
  • Ability to multi-task /change focus quickly
  • Must be a team player 
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience Control-M
  • Experience with ETL tools, Abinitio, Informatica
  • Experience with big data platforms, Hadoop, Teradata,
  • Web services and using REST API
  • Experience with AWK
