The Marketing Analytics Senior Associate will be a key team member of the Customer Targeting and Segmentation team within the Chase Marketing Analytics Organization. This dynamic position will utilize the rich data sources the bank has to build granular and holistic customer profiling, develop effective targeting and segmentation tools to identify customers’ need and enable customized offers and customer lifecycle Marketing. You will have an opportunity to work within a highly collaborative environment – interacting with and influencing leaders within Chase Marketing organization as well as across a number of other functional areas (e.g. Acquisitions, Portfolio Marketing, Digital Growth Team and other analytics teams).


Key Responsibilities

  • Synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights to influence business and marketing strategies
  • Segment customers based on internal and external attributes to identify customers’ unmet need and enable customized offers
  • Contribute to developing effective targeting capabilities and offer/product prioritization logic, through the use of modeling techniques and various analytics/statistical tools
  • Present the complex analysis results to Senior Management Team and business partners
  • Follow the company protocol, maintain good control/documentation of the analyses to facilitate a smooth review process by the corporate model/segmentation review team
  • Collaborate with various partners on marketing team and other relevant teams to implement the developed targeting logic and segmentations

  • Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, applied economics or related quantitative field
  • 4+ years of experience developing Marketing/Risk strategies and/or customer targeting/segmentation required, modeling experience a strong plus (credit card experience preferred), large data analytics/machine learning experience preferred
  • 4+ years of experience with SAS, SQL or other database and statistical analysis tools and languages to assemble and manipulate data and perform statistical analysis; experience using big data platforms (Oracle, Teradata) is required
  • Effective communications skills, the ability to explain complex results/approaches in layman’s language
  • Team player and the ability to work in a cross-functional and fast-pacing environment
  • Creative, self-starter with out-of-the-box problem solving skills, result-driven and strong project management; ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel (including pivot table), and PowerPoint
  • Ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, keep numerous tasks on track and manage ad-hoc data to form insightful business analysis with aggressive turnaround timelines
