The Equities & Prime Brokerage Middle Office Transformation Team is responsible for a multitude of projects spanning the post trade space for the Equities and Prime Brokerage Business across Cash, Derivative and Equity Financing Products:
  • Global strategic business-driven initiatives
  • Business process reengineering
  • Industry initiatives
  • Regulatory driven initiatives
This role will focus on supporting the Equities & Prime Business; driving an aggressive internal innovation agenda as well as responding to the external industry and regulatory environment.  This requires funnelling the large number of ideas generated at all levels into a structured framework.  The right amount of rigour in documenting / governing initiatives is important to enable targeted decision making.
 These initiatives cover:
  • Strategic system implementation and process re-engineering
  • Client offerings & strategies
  • Business Processes improvements across FO, Tech and Ops
  • Building Solutions for new Industry and Regulatory Requirements
  • New Products and Markets (including providing input into NBIAs)
    The candidate would be responsible for:
  • Work closely with the Business (Desk Heads, Business Managers and Product Development) to understand their needs / priorities / issues
  • Initiate projects by defining scope, objectives and timeframes
  • Develop project deliverables and the associated plans and manage issues & risks
  • Build and run governance around the different initiatives: communication, escalation, resolution
  • Face-off to partners on behalf of the business  - technology, operations, finance, legal, compliance, treasury and other support groups to define solutions
  • Be the voice of the business: make priorities transparent, use influence to minimise lead-time
  • Perform cost benefit analysis to propose optimum future process to the business
  • Ultimately, successfully deliver own portfolio of initiatives

We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics:
  • Excellent project management skills & a track record in delivering complex projects on behalf of Front Office / Operations
  • Previous experience in the Financial Services industry, ideally with understanding of Cash Equities, Equity Financing and Derivative Products across Equities and Prime Brokerage Business lines.
  • Strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle
  • Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations
  • Excellent problem solving skills in order to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, formal and informal. This is key in developing relationships across the various stakeholders including Senior Business executives.
  • A self motivated individual who is able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst also working effectively as part of a team
