Our business
 
This role is part of CIB Finance & Business Management in J.P. Morgan AG, which supports firm’s Corporate & Investment Banking operations in Germany covering Regulatory Reporting.
As its core business activities, J.P. Morgan AG is acting as Euro clearing provider for the J.P. Morgan affiliates and primarily financial institutions worldwide as well as a regulated custodian for the German investment market, while also acting as client-facing entity for OTC derivatives in distinct client segments.
 
Opportunity
 
The opportunity is to manage the Frankfurt Regulatory Reporting Team, reporting to the Head of Finance.
 
Key responsibilities: 
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely submission of regulatory reports to regulators and other authorities according to corporate / local reporting polices and standards performed
  • Responsible to ensure ongoing compliance with local and US regulatory reporting requirements 
  • Management of the change agenda, driven by upcoming regulatory changes, implementation of new products, onboarding of new client segments or technology changes
  • Oversight of outsourced activities within J.P. Morgan, but also to third party providers
  • Contribution to the local recovery plan as well as the firmwide recovery & resolution plan
  • Coordination and production of the JPMAG Pillar 3 Reporting (“Offenlegungsbericht”)
  • Act as a trusted advisor the business as well as the local management
Requirements
 
We are looking for a candidate for a role managing the Frankfurt Regulatory Reporting Team, covering day-to-day reporting and monitoring requirements as well as the overall project agenda
Essential skills  
  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership of issues and drives them to resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team
  • Strong background in regulatory reporting requirements and experience in implementing regulatory reporting projects
  • Broad-based IT skills and application experience, Data management experience
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & process re-engineering skills
  • Solid project management skills
  • Sparring partner for the management, with a strong interest to get involved in activities / projects “outside the box”
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills
  • Ideally multi-cultural / multi-national background, being able to communicate internationally and across lines of business in a complex matrix structure
