Role Description
As a GTI Project and Program Manager, you will be responsible for the management of  complex technology related programs and projects including LOB Technology demand, end user, network, distributed, mainframe, cyber security and real estate build out related services and technologies. These projects support the growth and operational stability of the JPMC business in addition to delivering enhanced technology and cost reductions into the operating environment.  This is a senior role involved in the different stages of the success of a project including: the funding, planning, scheduling, implementation and tracking process 
You will be driving the delivery of projects in the portfolio across all services working closely with multiple GTI & LOB technology teams while interfacing with senior managers and stakeholders in the organization. Strong leadership, excellent oral and written communications and the ability to remain calm and perform under pressure are a must have

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for running complex projects.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, on spec

Manage project financials  to include developing BC’s forecasting, understanding P&L, depreciation etc.)

Keep all projects on track. Escalates decisions to executive sponsors as necessary

Organizing the design and development of the Project

Ensure risk management strategies are followed and reviewed within guidelines

Plan and set project goals and milestones based on approved SOW, IDD, etc.

Responsible for development of requirements  documentation and targets accordingly

Identify and secure resources including project team, vendors and consultants

Detect and solve project issues effectively

Supervise the project management team

He/she must make sure proper project management standards and rigor is applied

Acts as the communications conduit to executive sponsor; conducts regularly scheduled briefings/status updates

Serve as single point of contact for project level issues / questions / escalations

Prepares  and/or provides project reporting, metrics, scorecards, etc.

Leads technical projects from initiation through implementation

Assist with the development of less experienced team members

Role may also include people management responsibilities

Technical Skills

Proficient in the following: 

Project Task Estimation

Resource Scheduling

Compliance to Risk Management and Cyber Policies

Management and escalation of  underlying project Risks/Issue/Change

Adherence to Standard Project Lifecycle

Budget / Financial Management including Business Case completion

Evaluation of impact to Total Cost of Ownership for multiple simultaneous, complex projects  

Work Experience

Substantial IT Project Management experience, or relevant business or team leadership.

5-10 years experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.)

Strong knowledge of industry standard project management  tools for financial and project reporting (i.e., Clarity, Beeline, etc.)

Formal project management training and discipline knowledge required

Knowledge of technologies, systems, drivers and trends in global investment banking environments backed by a solid understanding of the banking industry fundamentals

Knowledge and understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, risk and security aspects

Proven experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups

Knowledge of Permit to Build and Permit to Operate

Extensive experience with high dollar projects with a large amount of complexity and customer interface

Expert at delivering projects on time and within budget

Extensive experience at presenting metrics to key stakeholders

Proven experience in working with Outside Service Providers/Vendors/Customers

Excellent oral and written communication skills across functions and teams, up and down the chain of command

Listening and gathering customer/user inputs. Simplifying complex topics for non-technical audiences and preparing quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders

Ability to motivate Project team

Strong analytic skills

Strong  leadership skills

Strong negotiation skills

Strong  knowledge of IT Environment

Bachelor's degree in technology related area preferred
10+ years of related technology experience  working with multiple technologies and complex, large scale, cross-functional project management, preferably in the financial services industry.
PMP, MSP, SixSigmaAgile or other formal project management discipline preferred
Fluency in English
Fluency Spanish/Portuguese Desirable
