The Global Supplier Services (GSS) team manages the source to pay processes for JPMorgan Chase and provides a governance model which includes strong risk management practices, enhanced performance monitoring, greater scale and strong client engagement.  To efficiently and collaboratively deliver value to JPMC from external suppliers in a manner that mitigates risk, enhances performance, and manages expense by driving the end to end Source to Pay Lifecycle.
The GSS Business Intelligence, Reporting & Analytics (BIRA) team is responsible for supporting all data, metrics and reporting needs for all GSS functions, as well providing supplier intelligence across JPMC.  The team supports GSS core goals and objectives, and utilizes its unique cross functional positioning to identify cost saving opportunities, improve on inefficient processes, and support major programs through enabling technologies.
In this role, the Strategic Reporting Release Manager will be responsible for managing the on-going enhancements to our strategic reporting environment, which currently features an Oracle data repository and reporting via Cognos and Qlikview.  These enhancements will include those driven by initiatives specifically launched by the GSS BIRA team as well as those mandated by change within upstream systems.  This individual will need to work closely with the team managing the technology side of our reporting environment, along with the teams responsible for change management in the upstream systems, and, of course, the GSS BIRA team to ensure the requirements for on-going reporting improvements can be met in a timely and cost-effective manner.  Among the tasks associated with this role are:
  • Manage a list of enhancements to be made to the strategic reporting (Oracle) database, along with high-level requirements, any associated dependencies and proposed targets for implementation
  • Work closely with teams managing change within key upstream systems, such as Ariba, COMPASS and 4Site, to identify potential change in the data repository resulting from changes in those upstream platforms
  • Partner with Reporting Technology support in the development of the appropriate artifacts to drive development efforts, testing and implementation, including but not limited to requirements documents, test plans and test scripts
  • Maintain project plans that incorporate a typical Project Lifecycle Cycle, albeit managed through an “Agile” development approach
  • Coordinate with resources responsible for the testing of changes to ensure adequate testing coverage, raising and resolution of defects, and determine suitability of changes to be moved into production


The Strategic Reporting Release Manager reports to the Reporting Manager for the firm's GSS Strategic Reporting team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Accounting or Finance preferred)
  • 7+ years professional experience; 2+ years of release management or other similar experience
