The organization is transforming into a Managed Services provider for JPMC and drives product management, engineering standards, automation, and productivity initiatives in support of the Managed Services. Within GTI, ICS works in partnership with business partners in support of the ICS technologies.

Job Description
 
The IaaS Compute Service Owner Support SME will form an integral part of the IaaS Service Owner organization with primary responsibility supporting the Service Owner to manage and deliver best in class IaaS services to the lines of business. This will be achieved by working closely with business partner teams in the organization, implementing innovative and continual improvement processes and owning fundamental aspects of the end to end service.
 
Scope of Primary Responsibility/Expectations
  • SME in supporting the Service Owner for the virtual and physical IaaS compute services
  • Owns service inventory from a quality perspective ensuring accurate billing categorization
  • Oversee service improvement from an inventory perspective
  • Owns service process definition and documentation
  • Provide service metrics and reporting to meet SLAs/SLOs and drive efficiencies
  • Acts as focal point for the integration of Service Management strategies
  • Provide metrics to support service reviews
  • Oversees Special Projects (hardware/inventory/infrastructure repurposing/etc) by partnering with external service teams (supply chain, office of the CTO, datacenter efficiencies, etc.)
  • Supports the dissemination of customer facing information (TechStoreFront)
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of business theory, business processes, and business operations
  • Proven experience with inventory and asset management systems
  • Proven experience in an IT service management operational role
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development
  • Process-oriented, with focus on continuous streamlining/improvement
  • Execution focused self-starter with strong initiative and eye for detail; able to take ownership and work independently, as well as on a team
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Excellent oral and written  communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Comfortable operating in a demanding  and fast-paced environment
  • Responds with flexibility in dynamic environment and comfortable with addressing ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to partner well and influence others
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Background in engineering and/or operational disciplines is an advantage
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience
