The Role:
The Corporate Development team is working to chart a new partnership path for Chase, bringing together the assets of the firm to create “OneChase” opportunities to delight our customers. In addition to managing major co-brand and payment partnerships, the team is responsible for evaluating the way that we deploy our assets with third parties throughout payments and banking to broaden our reach to existing and new customer segments through new and existing partners. Establishing these businesses and partnerships requires careful strategic consideration and we are looking for a team of smart and practical leaders to shape the organization. This organization will be evaluated on its ability to efficiently and effectively evaluate, negotiate and launch new partnerships to drive business results. We are looking for smart, dynamic people who can deliver at Chase.
Reporting to the Head of Partnership Execution and Program Management within the CCB Corporate Development team, this successful candidate will build and run the end-to-end deal oversight and governance process for the key strategic partnerships for CCB. The successful candidate must be able to build and leverage relationships across various lines of business and find ways to deliver on key innovative partnerships while managing key operational and business risks. The successful candidate will work with LOB business partners and CCB Compliance, Risk and other key partners to ensure that every new opportunity is fully vetted. He or she must be able to build a flexible process that allows the organization to move quickly in order to ensure that Chase is taking advantage of marketplace opportunities but must also make sure that key opportunities are evaluated end-to-end for business, regulatory and customer impact risks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize and run existing Card key partnerships review/governance process
  • Create and execute cross-CCB deal review/governance process and ongoing monitoring, including full Compliance program
  • Lead all NBIA activities for key partnerships and create risk review process for new partnership constructs that merit leadership evaluation outside of NBIA
  • Help to stand-up new CCB-wide best practice sharing forum
  • Develop and launch a robust deal playbook that will outline critical steps and principles for how Chase will manage all deals going forward regardless of size
  • Own and drive all audit, regulatory and/or internal RCSA processes
  • Stand-up and manage deal Post Implementation Review process
  • Create senior management communication materials which provide updates on critical progress
  • 10+ years of experience in risk, oversight, controls or other similar roles
  • Strong controls and risk mindset with a demonstrated ability to place the Firm’s control agenda at the forefront
  • Track record of developing and executing compensating controls and assessing risks while supporting critical new product development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment balancing multiple tasks
    and deliverables
  • Ability to manage projects in cross-functional teams to meet critical delivery milestones
  • Must be a strong collaborator, able to build and leverage relationships at the most senior levels of the organization
  • Strong executive presence with impeccable written and oral communication skills
