Within the Corporate & Investment Bank, Investor Services (IS) is a global industry leader with over $20.5 trillion in assets under custody. The Custody business provides asset safekeeping, settlement and asset servicing to institutional clients in 100 markets. Our clients include the world's largest investment managers, pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and other asset gatherers
The Investor Services foreign exchange client management team is responsible for ensuring that Investor Services provides foreign exchange (FX) solutions and other market products to institutional investors on a global basis. The business provides all components of the products including execution, product management & development, technical sales and relationship management all underpinned with a focus of creating client solutions.
Within IS, the foreign exchange client manager is responsible for managing existing FX relationships. The FX Client Manager delivers. J.P.Morgan performance reviews that focus on execution and how the associated risks are managed and mitigated; articulates trading strategy and how we have delivered superior value to clients. The FX Client Manager also provides clients with insight and perspective regarding industry trends and issues.
The candidate will be based in Hong Kong and be responsible for managing all aspects of the FX relationship for our custody clients. In addition to managing the existing clients, a key component of the role is monitoring service standards for each client to ensure the highest possible levels of client satisfaction, while focusing on creating client solutions.
The candidate will be measured by their ability to develop direct and deep relationships with clients and be able to influence client behavior. They must also communicate internally across various trading desks, product groups, operations and service and also importantly work in partnership with the IS Relationship Managers, who have overall responsibility for the entire client relationship across IS.
Key Accountabilities / Major Responsibilities:
Manage top tier custody/ FX client relationships for the region
Work directly with clients and J.P. Morgan internal parties to develop and create FX solutions
Ensure consistent and the highest quality of service standards for each relationship, developing appropriate metrics and management reporting. Ensure relationships receive the optimal service levels for foreign exchange
Ability to develop deep relationships with front office trading up to senior management at the client
Business retention in a highly competitive market environment
Provide clients with insight and perspective regarding industry trends and issues
Ensure internal systems and set ups for client relationship are correct and in line with contractual responsibilities. Update other MIS systems as required
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are strongly preferred
Skills & Experience Required:
One or more Asian language skills required
Incumbent must have a very strong background in Foreign Exchange and or Custody including trading and operations, with general exposure to compliance, legal and risk
Strong relationship management skills
Solid understanding of Foreign Exchange in either a sales, relationship management or trading environment
Solid understanding of global custody
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident presentation, sales and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, both internal and external
Proven partnership experience
Able to demonstrate problem solving skills
Analytical and excellent spread sheet skills
