JPMorgan Intelligent Solutions (JPMIS) is a new group considering ways to transform and leverage JPM proprietary data assets into opportunities for JPM.  Protecting and managing intellectual property effectively as well as utilizing it to develop solutions that are both customized and scalable will enable JPM to create additional shareholder value.

 

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Intelligent Solutions Group, this role is responsible for all technical definition and design pattern for Machine Learning supporting JPMC. The Machine Learning team combines cutting edge machine learning techniques with the company’s unique data assets to optimize business decisions and create new productivity tools. In this role, you will be supporting our world-class machine learning team, and advance the state-of-the-art in financial applications ranging from pricing and credit models to natural language processing. The work of the Machine Learning team spans the company’s lines of business, with exceptional opportunities in each.

This individual will provide the thought leadership that supports the growth strategy of JPMIS by delivering technical capabilities and solutions for Machine Learning. The right candidate for this position has deep technical acumen across both Big Data and Machine Learning, exhibits deep execution skills, is process oriented, a quick learner, results-driven, detail oriented and a superb communicator.  This person will build a best-in-class information technology team in support of the core JPMIS strategic objectives to provide a consistent, reliable and mature design pattern for Machine Learning.

 

This person will also work closely with the Global Technology Enterprise Architecture team to drive consistent pattern roadmaps, operating processes, procedures, and methodologies for Machine Learning design pattern.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversight and leadership of the Machine Learning design pattern
  • Working with the Development, Production Support and Data Operations teams to develop and support reliable and fully integrated tools into the ML hardware and software stack.
  • Managing product maturity and scalability across the ML pattern to support a high growth environment
  • Improving processes and procedures to create scalable production capacity to support future growth
  • Integrating with other departments to meet company and department goals and objectives including all JPMC operational processes (Change Control, Incident Management, Problem Management, Capacity Planning, Disaster Recover, etc)
  • Work with the DevOps team to implement production ready controls that utilize both primary and secondary control capabilities.  Design and implement strong control mechanisms and build a control mindset into the DNA of the organization.
  • Drive thought leadership and implementation of a strong information security practice.  Collaborate across the organization to leverage policies, procedures and best practices while implementing a nimble information security practices into the core design pattern.
  • Assesses information technology control elements to mitigate IT risks regarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business information
  • Responsible for pattern resiliency and disaster recover
  • Manage relationships with the technology vendors and third-party providers to support the product roadmap/maturity as vendor products evolve.
  • Innovate new ways of bringing technology to life through creative build and delivery.

Candidate Profile

 

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategic, analytical and IT kills with a focus on strong delivery skills, deep data/analytic expertise along with exceptional client and relationship management skills. S/he must have proven successes in balancing long term visionary planning capabilities with the ability to create, practical and actionable plans that are coherent and understood by all stakeholders. Beyond excellent delivery skills, the ideal candidate will be an innovative, commercially inclined, and a business technology officer with a proven record of creating genuine business value through the deployment of both Big Data and Machine Learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Information Management or Computer Science
