Job Description:

Assist in Prospect Research

  • Independently identify prospects by looking for transition events in the financial statements/media/internet/Bloomberg/etc. Perform sector analysis, industry analysis, and regional leader analysis to identify potential clients. Find useful information about these potential prospects to facilitate their conversion into clients


  • Follow-up on (i) day to day meeting that each prospector has. This includes presentations, coming up with ideas to attract that prospect and coordination with other ITM members. (ii) events and JPM's publication distributions

Be Informed

  • It is the intern’s responsibility to read magazines and newspapers as well as to take advantage of the Bank's resources (i.e. morning meeting, Morgan Mexico, Bloomberg news, etc..) to identify opportunities and in case they are in front of a client

Tailor pitches/presentations and marketing letters

  • Work closely with marketers to create tailored client pitches and/or letters
  • Help offshore bankers and onshore investors on the proposed pitches

Onshore account opening process and client on boarding

  • Gather all documents to prepare local account opening docs, after coordinating with legal and ops they prepare these docs, do the KYC and DDRs coordinating with offshore analysts in case it is an existing offshore client, and are responsible for making sure the CAS ID and REL IDs are properly reflected in each prospector's scorecard

We seek candidates with strong analytical skills who can use both qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze complex financial situations. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work well as an integral member of a team, as well as the initiative, energy and confidence to complete projects with limited supervision. Judgment and discretion in working with highly confidential information are also critical. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 8.5 (out of 10).

  • Bilingual; Spanish and English
  • Current college student
  • General knowledge of financial markets and investments
  • General knowledge of the Wealth Management business
  • Performance driven and ambitious
  • Strong relationship management and team building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Self-starter, well organized and detailed-oriented with strong commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively
  • Good judgment and problem solving skills
  • Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • PowerPoint and Excel expertise required
  • Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills
  • General comfort level with Internet/Intranet usage and ability to learn proprietary software.
