JP Morgan Chase Intelligent Solutions (JPMIS) transforms JPMC data assets to create and commercialize information and solutions that enable consumers, businesses and governments to make better decisions and achieve their objectives.  JPMIS also uses Big Data Technology to improve efficiency and information use within JPMC.


The Executive Director, Project Execution Manager is responsible for driving all aspects of multiple, concurrent transformational projects for JPMIS’ clients, who represent JPMC business units requiring innovative Big Data technology solutions.  This role requires a proven transformation leader with a delivery focus and ability to navigate through or around challenges as needed to achieve the goals.  In this role, you will work closely with JPMIS teams as well as LOB, Application and Infrastructure disciplines. You will be responsible for a large portfolio of initiatives and business relationships while providing hands-on management of project related activities working with technology leaders across analysis, architecture, engineering, design, build, quality assurance, deployment and support teams, as well as with client groups as required. 


  • Provide hands-on leadership of multiple, concurrent and technically-complex programs to deliver business solutions on-time, on-budget and with quality.

  • Define and implement Project lifecycle standards aligned to JPMIS operating principles, promoting rapid business value delivery with control and efficiency.

  • Develop and promote best practices around Program Management, Project Delivery, Release Management, and evolution/adoption of CICD.

  • Lead and influence at all levels to ensure successful program/project delivery across all phases from Ideation to Implementation.

  • Directly manage a team of geographically distributed and culturally diverse technology professionals in all aspects of their jobs, including resolution of day-to-day issues and fostering career growth and development.

  • Analyze project risks, issues, costs, and benefits and raise relevant recommendations to the business and technology leadership team.

  • Provide clear Project Reporting that facilitates business decision-making.

  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with all Risk, Architecture, Operations, and other relevant firm-wide guidelines.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships across contributing teams, various LOBs, senior technology management, business management, program sponsors, vendors, and business clients.

  • Act as a communication channel for ongoing program management status and issues, and setting business expectations.

  • Interact at high levels with clients and decision-makers both internally and externally.

  • Proactively work with other Program/Project Managers, identifying and resolving issues that would present a risk to on-time implementation of programs or projects. 

Ensure consistent use of firm-wide Tools, processes and Enterprise PMO best practices

  • 15+ years of experience in information technology with an emphasis on technology project management

  • Program Management experience managing complex programs with very tight timelines in global financial institutions

  • Proven experience managing transformation based projects

  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall Methodologies

  • Experience with Project Sizing Estimation, Resource Scheduling, Risk Management, and Issue Management

  • Experience adhering to Standard Project Lifecycles

  • Budget / Financial Management including Business Case completion

  • Evaluation of impact to Total Cost of Ownership for multiple simultaneous, complex projects

  • Proficient in multiple business disciplines and functions in the financial services industry

  • Knowledge and experience with Big Data concepts and technologies a plus

  • Knowledge and experience with Release Management and CICD concepts and technologies a plus

  • Understanding or exposure to Technology Risk & Controls in relation to business application management

  • Knowledge and experience designing and delivering business applications that operate effectively in a production environment (resilient, scalable, etc.)

  • Ability to manage a program of work and actively drive stakeholder’s accountability to deliverables

  • Ability to develop solutions to address business challenges through a problem solving mindset

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

  • Project Management certifications such as PMP are a plus
