Job Description:

The VP of Strategic Development and Planning is responsible for supporting and managing the development and planning required to support and sustain Chase’s Global Operations and the associated businesses they support (e.g., Card, Retail, Auto);


Will be responsible for owning the strategic direction and roll out of key customer journey initiatives, to drive the planning, sequencing and implementation of these initiatives to drive end-state transformation based on value, impact and time to market .  

Will be focused a test-and-learn approach and ongoing incremental delivery of value to our customers.  

Will be responsible for helping to assess new innovative technologies as they relate to the strategic vision of the customer journey’s, and partnering with the execution team and innovation lab to in order to successfully execute


Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving the strategic product vision; determining the sequence and timing of implementation to delivery incremental value
  • Determine the product delivery and horizontal roadmap that delivers incremental value across multiple releases; modification of roadmap based on changing market needs, customer needs and opportunities
  • Determine a common view/one central book of work and innovations that are driven by solution customer and business needs
  • Partner with the business to determine Operating model changes and key impacts to the end-to-end customer and employee lifecycle
  • Determine a common view/one central book of work and innovations that are driven by solution customer and business needs
  • Identify and build understanding around key competitor trends and industry forces-at-work to drive decision making and strategy
  • Build consensus among cross-functional teams and influence decision making within senior-level audiences.
  • Partner with PMO to move programs through the Demand Management lifecycle towards execution



  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in business strategy and execution
  • Ability to measure pre and post tracking of adoption initiatives including NPS, CSAT, Call/Branch volumes, digital engagement
  • Consulting/Strategy background
  • Project experience to include corporate or business strategy development, organizational design, annual business planning and prioritization.
  • Candidates must have experience in both building strategy and executing it with demonstrable results and outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels (business, technology, operations, executives, peer and staff)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with ability to influence the development and execution of key operational strategies and projects
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to present to varied and large audiences, including executive updates
  • Capable of navigating in dynamic and complex organization environments
  • Well-developed ability to attract, train, motivate, develop and retain employees
  • Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree is desirable
