JP Morgan's Central technology has created a multi-year initiative to build infrastructure to support the Firm's Risk and Finance management processes, addressing both the external and internal reporting requirements. The program includes strategic data sourcing, data enrichment, analytics, monitoring and reporting capabilities. This position will be part of the Data Acquisition team that collaborates with the LOB's and Data Consumers to define the data acquisition roadmap, set sourcing strategy and priorities, working with the technology and business partners.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the business and technology partners to define, prioritize, and achieve short and long term objectives for data acquisition. 
  • Act as a Product Subject Matter Expert on the Investment Banking products, with special focus on Derivatives.
  • Help define Vision Statement and Product Roadmap
  • Create Release plan, Iteration plan, and Stories including the DOD (Definition of Done). 
  • Develop and manage Product and Iteration Backlog with detailed estimates risks and issues.  
  • Guide the development effort working with the Scrum Master (or equivalent), and the development team.  
  • Regularly communicate status of program to all impacted stakeholders
  • Analyze project risks, costs, and benefits and makes relevant recommendations to business and technology leadership team.
  • Establish and maintain working relationship with: technology management, business management, program sponsors, vendors, and business clients.
  • Act as a communication channel between Technology and the business for ongoing program management status and issues, opening up communication channels, coordinating messages and setting business expectations.
  • Manage workload of development teams proactively identifying and resolving issues that would present a risk to on-time delivery of the program/project.
  • Play a major role in performance management. Develop, train, and coach team members. Promote effective teamwork. 

   

   

  • 10+ years experience in IT with progressive levels of responsibility and achievements
  • 10+ years experience managing multi-stream programs including managing resourcing and finances
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services with detailed working knowledge of financial instruments and trade flow in multiple asset classes with particular focus on Derivatives, Fixed Income, and Equity products
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile methodology of Systems Delivery.
  • Experience in finance planning, setting annual budget, resource and headcount planning. Relevant experience with Agile methodology as a Product Owner is a strong plus.  
  • Experience related to implementing complex applications and underlying Operating Models is a big plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively at many levels of the organization including senior management
  • Stake-holder expectation management and negotiation skills to achieve agreement across many stakeholders.
  • Excellent and proven communication skills, both, written and verbal. 
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Math, Sciences, MIS, Engineering
  • Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, Zoomtext), and proven track record of incorporating into your day-to-day work, is a plus but not required.
