At JPMorgan Chase, the Commercial Banking (CB) serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. The Firm's broad platform positions the Commercial Bank to deliver extensive product capabilities - lending, treasury services, investment banking, and asset management - to meet our clients' domestic and international financial needs.
We are undertaking an aggressive digital transformation agenda, which builds on the success of the current mobile and online service offerings; investing in innovative ways to deepen customer engagement and profitability through the use of digital channels. The goal is to position Commercial Banking as the undisputed leader in digital financial services and payments (similar to what we have done on the consumer banking side), to enable highly personalized delivery and real time experiences that clients increasingly expect. 

Digital Product team is seeking a qualified candidate for a Product Manager position that is responsible for managing enablement of multiple APIs for the Commercial Banking group.  In this role, the qualified candidate would be a subject matter and product expert for APIs that are being implemented within the Commercial Banking space.

The individual should have a deep understanding of client needs and market trends as it relates to the API space. They should have experience owning and creating the product strategy and roadmap, aligning with overall business objectives and strategies, reviewing the roadmap with key stakeholders, determining product priorities, and enabling new features.

This role will require experience with demonstrating a consistent track record in achieving individual and business/function objectives. As part of this the individual should have prior experience identifying and tracking metrics in accordance with internal/external expectations and benchmarks, factoring in the impact of adverse risk/control issues, and effectively managing profit/loss, headcount and budget. Proven experience with challenging the status quo, influencing stakeholders, driving change is critical.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 15+ years of demonstrated experience managing customer-facing services, and products 
  • 10+ years experience with Customer interactions and delivering Customer focused engagements
  • Strong understanding of APIs with 5 to 7+ years experience managing and delivering API based products
  • 7 to 10+ years experience in overseeing the delivery of projects using Agile methodology
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to be highly effective with both internal and external contacts 
  • 3 to 5+ years experience with driving product enablement through Design Thinking process
  • Abreast in trends and best practices in the API space with a strong understanding of how organizations have enabled APIs
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, good problem solving abilities, capability to objectively review and understand issues, and tenacious in seeking quick, creative solutions 
  • Proven vendor management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision, and ability to adjust to changing priorities effectively. 
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills 
  • Experience with building a team by hiring, training and developing talent.
  • Experience with assessing market competition in the API space, and recommending enhancements and innovation around products.

  • Experience with Domain Driven Design
  • Experience with Business process Re-engineering
  • Project Management Certifications (e.g. PMP)
