Our Team
The International Private Bank (IPB) Treasury and Deposit team has responsibility for Wealth Management Treasury and Deposit Business across EMEA, Asia and Latin America. This includes efficient use of IPB balance sheets, compliance with internal and regulatory liquidity requirements but also developing the deposit product palette, advising on deposit & loan pricing strategy and management of interest rate risk within deposits to support business growth. The team is based in Geneva and is leveraging a global network across the bank and line of businesses (LOBs).
The IPB Deposit manager will report to the Head of IPB Treasury and Deposit with the main objective to enhance competitiveness and profitability of the deposit business. This position will provide an opportunity to make an impact on the bottom line and provide exposure to senior management.
The Role
Key responsibilities  
  • Assist client advisors in marketing deposit capabilities to clients by driving sales initiatives
  • Provide subject matter expertise, training and education to bankers, investors and client service on our deposits capabilities, the competitive landscape and pricing
  • Develop cash management solutions in partnership Fixed income Asset Class Leaders
  • Be fully informed on all fixed income related products especially on the shorter term solutions
  • Moderate the monthly IPB Rate Committee
  • Assess product development needs through contact with client advisors and clients and create a product development agenda to grow the business. This will be done in conjunction with our Business Management team.
  • Develop our Digital Banking roadmap
  • Provide coverage and guidance to more junior team member on the below deposit activity:
    • Manage and oversee the setting of daily rates and spreads for deposits across IPB with reference to market conditions and competitors
    • Manage and oversee the trading of Fiduciary deposits with various market counterparties on behalf of clients
    • Monitor flows into and out of deposits daily, investigating the underlying drivers and providing trend analysis
    • Prepare the monthly IPB Rate Committee
  • Provide cross-functional support to the treasury team on ad hoc requests and strategic initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years experience in comparable role   
  • Fixed Income experience essential
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of private banking business and all associated products and services
  • Proven commercial mindset with outstanding presentation skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to establish and communicate the strategic vision to all levels
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with business partners, senior stakeholders and internal clients, fostering partnerships quickly across multiple functions
  • Control focus with a thorough understanding of operational risk
