Global Real Estate Accounting is a business unit of the Corporate Finance – Corporate Controllers Group and has direct responsibility for the Firmwide occupancy portfolio of 78 million square feet across 60+ countries in over 6,200 leased and owned properties.


Global Real Estate Accounting is seeking a quality focused, detail oriented, high energy, self starting Accounting Project Manager to facilitate and oversee the delivery management for a new/enhanced technology application solution for lease accounting as well as establishing detailed accounting processes and procedures to support the newly issued Leasing Standard by the FASB and the IASB.  

Specific responsibilities include the following:
  • Lead the Global Real Estate Accounting Implementation Team
  • Supervise and manage a staff of three
  • Manage clear expectations and understanding by establishing clear timelines and managing documentation requirements
  • Ownership of internal communication and status updates
  • Ensure deliverables are met and hold owners accountable by managing implementation issues, escalations and error resolution
  • Demonstrate creative problem solving and solid judgment/decision making
  • Diligent awareness of and ongoing communication related to risks in processes in a timely manner with an ability to identify and provide potential solutions to issues that arise

  • 6-10 years project management experience, working in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Project management must include involvement with and understanding of detailed technology functional requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Related field and project management certification preferred
  • Experience in real estate industry preferred, specifically lease accounting or lease operations
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion, escalating issues or impediments when appropriate
  • Ability to work with and communicate clearly with various senior management to drive projects forward
  • Ability to multi-task and to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal communication, organization, and leadership skills with the ability to exhibit sound judgment and express verbal and written information effectively
  • Strong mentoring and relationship building skills with ability to effectively manage group and interpersonal conflict situations
  • Train, coach and develop staff
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
