Job Description:

The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).

CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.

A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:

  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments

  • Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms

  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions

  • Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles

  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency

 

Role Description:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to join a stellar team of strong self-motivated developers and engineers building the Client Onboarding and Client Due Diligence Platform.  You’ll be involved in all aspects – helping evolve our existing architecture, working with teams to improve SDLC process, controls, governance and operations, and implementing new features and functionality.

 

This role will entail: 

·                  Liaise with the business partners in translating business requirements into suitable scalable design solutions

·                  Provide technical assistance and oversight to Application Development teams

·                  Ensure applications adhere to all Global Reference Data development standards

·                  Implement best practices for software code development, re-use and componentization of functions

·                  In-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization

·                  Dependency management with all necessary technology teams for application integration points

·                  Root Cause Analysis assistance for production support teams

 

 

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong and proven experience in developing server components.

  • Strong in J2EE server technologies: Web Services, Object Model, Core Java, XML, Enterprise.

  • Java Beans, JMS.

  • Good experience in using design patterns, UML, OO concepts.

  • Knowledge of Spring, Tomcat, Apache is required.

  • Good experience in Databases (SQL) is required.

  • Should be able to translate high level design to detail technical design and implementation.

  • Knowledge of BitBucket, MAVEN and ANT.

 

Desired Skills:

Financial services industry experience is a plus

 

Necessary Technology or Application Experience

  • Must have at least Ten years of programming experience that includes at least Five years of experience using J2EE technologies in financial applications

  • Must have excellent oral and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level

  • Must have experience of working in an agile delivery role
