About Global Technology Infrastructure
Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
About the Strategy and Transformation function
The Strategy & Transformation team is responsible for driving GTI-wide strategic programs and transformational initiatives. The team partners with all departments across GTI to drive organisational change programs and continuous improvement.
Individual role description
GTI is looking for an Organisational Coach/Transformation Lead to work with infrastructure/application development teams and Technology Directors to provide the following:
  • Lead organisational change activity across an organisation of ~8000 people
  • Promoting adoption of principles and practices to build high performing teams
  • Coaching leadership at all levels in their change journey
  • Communicating the change journey to a wide array of stakeholders
  • Leading and coaching the organization in its Lean / Agile adoption and promoting delivery of business value
  • Teach and Coach Agile practices and values within the organization
  • Influencing change that increases team performance at a sustainable pace
  • Inspiring adoption through strong face to face, written and creative communications channels
  • Running and facilitating meetups, workshops, training
Desired experience for the role
  • Significant experience working with organizational leadership and teams to change and adjust organizational design to promote self-organizing teams within an enterprise environment
  • Significant experience and understanding of challenges with scaling agile teams across organizations, and capable of identifying and addressing dysfunctional patterns caused by external forces that do not understand the values and principles of Agile or the importance of providing teams with an environment for agility
  • Deep knowledge of Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean) teachings and capable of helping teams to address dysfunctions that may result from teams misinterpreting, ignoring or rejecting Agile and Lean values and principles
  • Coach employees and stakeholders understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development
  • Exhibits a deep-passion for continuous learning and seeks to provide knowledge gained throughout the entire organization, beyond the team and line of business, and can facilitate classes, workshops, and Agile sharing events (e.g. Agile Hangouts, Community of Practice)
  • Utilizes broader experiences and adoption patterns, the Lean/Agile Coach helps the organization and (often multiple) Agile Teams adopt and progress in a feasible way
  • Capable of teaching and coaching application development teams to adopt Continuous Delivery practices such as Test-Driven Development, Specification by Example, Story Mapping, and other Lean/Agile Modelling Techniques
  • Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value and teach techniques for effective Product Backlog management

  • Continual Improvement – Must continually be growing ones craft learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team
  • Conflict Resolution – Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches
  • Attitude of Empowerment – Must be able to lead teams to self-organization
  • Attitude of Transparency – Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust
