This role will provide project management support for two key initiatives within Banking Operations, namely the CIB Payment Controls Program and the Banking Operations Location Strategy.

 

The CIB Payment Controls Program is being driven by Banking Operations and covers all CIB areas processing wholesale payments. The program was established to:

  • Define a framework and governance model for assessing operational risk within the payment flows
  • Mitigate those risks on a prioritized basis
  • Balance risk mitigation with client needs and operational efficiency
  • Align remediation approach and effort with the future state of global payments

The role in question will involve the project management and analysis of one or more aspects of the program relating to the enhancement of controls associated with payments initiated by the Markets and Investor Services business.  The successful candidate will work closely with Technology, Operations and a variety of other functions that are fundamental to the delivery of the right solutions in the right way.

 
Key responsibilities;
  • Project tasks include, but are not limited to, research into payment processes/platforms, design/documentation of processes and solutions, data analysis, management of meetings in an effective manner and developing new functional requirements for business applications.
  • Project management activities include definition of credible project plans that are compatible with other Payment Control-related or strategic initiatives, determining task ownership, driving timely execution through anticipation and resolution of issues, reporting project status to all stakeholders in an accurate, concise, timely manner.

In addition to the work described above, the successful will support the Banking Operations Location Strategy by working closely with Program Manager and senior leaders to manage and support the migration of functions to new locations in order to provide enhanced business resiliency.  This work will require strong communication skills in all media, project management skills as described above, the ability to provide leadership to a diverse range of teams and strong rapport with senior stakeholders.
