Business Management Office – CCB Business Planning & Analysis Data Infrastructure
Consumer and Community (CCB) Global Finance & Business Management Office:
The Business Planning and Analysis team is part of Consumer and Community Banking Global Finance & Business Management Office and is responsible for developing an integrated planning and management process that supports the successful execution of CCB Operations business objectives. 
The Data Infrastructure Executive Director is part of the Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) organization.  This role is responsible for being the visionary for developing the roadmap for the BP&A data infrastructure and ensuring that technical solutions are evolving with industry technological advancements. This candidate will work closely across BP&A to drive the strategic technology vision, design and development to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. In addition, the candidate will manage and participate in the evaluation and drive input into the selection of innovative solutions using emerging technologies. This position requires a process oriented skillset that will drive data and operational efficiencies within BP&A.
General Requirements for Role
General responsibilities are to provide recommendations to BP&A Senior Management regarding the data infrastructure and technologic solutions in order to meet expectations set forth in the budget and planning process, including supporting analytics and forecasting.  Primary responsibilities of this role include managing a team that owns the development and maintenance of the BP&A data repository, producing standardized reporting and forecasting presentations and representing BP&A in larger scale data projects across the company..
More specific responsibilities:
  • Partner with the BP&A leadership team to formulate technological solutions to drive operating efficiencies
  • Research and evaluate new/emerging technologies/tools and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities in alignment with the strategic BP&A vision
  • Manage the design and development process ensuring the solutions are properly designed and implemented according to the specifications
  • Recommend software and/or industry tools that will drive automation ability while still focusing on accuracy
  • Manage their team (6+ FTE) and their project activities whether it is developing a new data request or completing an
  • Design management reporting packages to communicate business result transparency to all constituents
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills for partnering with various levels of the organization and influencing results
  • Demonstrating strong problem solving skills, especially in a fast-paced environment
Successful candidates must be able to:
  • Effectively manage and develop a team of 5-7 analysts
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and translate metric performance into business insight
  • Communicate and interact effectively with Executive Management to convey business performance trends
  • Exhibit strong people leadership skills with demonstrated ability of building teams operating with high standards
  • Ability to package and present projections, performance trends, and performance outlooks in an executive format
  • Develop strong relationships and partnerships across functions to execute an integrated planning process
  • Navigate and negotiate organizational complexities to influence decision makers
  • Ensure controlled processes while maintaining data integrity, accuracy and timeliness
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, MS/MSc degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science or related work experience required
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in software engineering including 5+ years of technical experience in the architecture, design and development of various applications utilizing a wide range of technologies and vendor platforms
  • Proven delivery of both infrastructure Architecture and Engineering/ implementation of the desired state architecture
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience;  track record of implementing sustainable Big Data analytic solutions
  • Experience with development of large scale relational databases (Teradata / Oracle / SQL Server / etc.)
  • Proven experience with leading development of reporting via BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos, APEX, etc.
  • Superior written and oral presentation / communication skills – the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly to senior leadership
  • Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Strong knowledge of architectural principles, frameworks, design patterns and industry best practices for design and development
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data
  • Excellent software skills coupled with Strong database skills
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills preferably in a large company
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to speak contextually to different audiences (Business / Technology / Project / Sr Mgmt. / etc.)
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching developers
