Job Description:
Commercial Banking (CB) recently created a new location strategy center to support functions across multiple lines of business and is looking to grow the location strategy team and is seeking a Vice President reporting to the Head of CB Location Strategy. He or she will be responsible for supporting the CB Location Strategy program, a top priority for the Head of Commercial Banking. The CB Location Strategy team is part of our Finance & Business Management (F&BM) function.
The CB Location Strategy team will be responsible for the overall location strategy across the Commercial Banking organization. The team will partner closely with lines of business and support teams to develop, drive, and coordinate planning strategies and will provide governance, direction, thought leadership and guidance to business and functional leads on planning, development and implementation of location strategy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analytics – Ability to manage large amount of location centric data to drive decision making and reporting
    • Assist in model development to drive optimization of cost/location for CB location strategy
    • Drive consistency and integrity of data and institutionalize processes around collection and reporting of location strategy data including staff and location
    • Ability to understand data lineage and sources of additional data/analysis to support enhanced analytics
  • Reporting – Maintain and produce standardized reporting and metrics to support location strategy initiatives and decision making
    • Partner broadly with CB Finance & GRE Finance to provide analysis and reporting required
    • Develop varied decks and materials to communicate location strategy initiatives
  • Provide project management support  for the Location Strategy team
    • Provide analytical , project management, and operational support  across a diverse group of functional and line of business stakeholders
The candidate must have the ability to manage large data sets and provide reporting and analysis. The following skills and attributes are required for the role:
  • 5- 7+ years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced experience with Excel, databases, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to create models and data lineage
  • Demonstrated ability to partner at all levels across the organization
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
  • Innovative and creative thinker with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of JP Morgan Chase & Commercial Banking
  • Project Management experience
