The primary responsibility of this position is to manage a team of around 20 to 30 people with 4 or 5 direct reports providing support for the UAT function. The candidate will have a direct reporting line into the Vice President and will be directly responsible for coordinating the UAT for one or more projects. The candidate will be responsible for understanding the key metrics and risk components within the team and manage the team to meet the financial goals and objective put forth by the LOB’s, while partnering globally with all the Stake holders viz. Operations, QA & Technology teams. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining staff and budget requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage people working within the team / department and strive improve performance standards attained
  • Manage individual and team performance standards to achieve and exceed business expectations
  • Manage resources and capacity across multiple projects simultaneously and ensure optimum utilization of resources with NIL impact to business operations
  • Identifies, manages and mitigates testing risks and issues and timely escalation as necessary.
  • Coordinates the tracking and resolution of defects using the defect management process.
  • Provides Weekly Scorecard, Status Reporting and MIS.
  • Leads UAT communication calls with Technology, QA, Business and Operations teams.
  • Overall responsibility for the quality control of test scripts and test evidence.
  • Performs quality reviews on all testing documentation.
  • Work with operations, product and technology groups to define, document and agree the test approach and strategy.
  • Write and manage test plan and test script documentation required to support testing activity.
  • Document and report all errors/faults and ensure resolution including re-testing as required.
  • Provide regular status reporting to relevant business areas.
  • Analyze the impact of changes on the testing schedule.
  • Upon completion of testing, support integration of enhancements to include training and updating standard operating procedures as necessary.
  • Build strong working relationships with technology, product and operations to succeed in delivery.
  • Provide primary contact cover for the department. Investigate and follow reported items through until resolution.
 
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree (e.g. MBA, MSc, MCA, etc.) with 8 years of post qualification experience or Graduate with Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a financial institution or should have done Project Management or User Acceptance Testing. Should have the experience of managing a team of over 20-30 employees.
  • Experience and Strong working knowledge of various aspects of Client Onboarding, KYC  or AML knowledge is preferable.
  • Working Knowledge in Software testing or User Acceptance testing in any other Banking Domain would be an added advantage.

  • Experience of test co-ordination in a user acceptance test environment
  • Experience in defect management and test support tools
