The Infrastructure Investments Fund (“IIF” or the “Fund”) offers investors a moderate risk, long-term approach to infrastructure investing that is diversified both in terms of geography and sub-sector. The fund has c.$10bn of equity invested across 17 portfolio companies (Gross Asset Value of c.$20bn) and is targeting sustained growth both through new investments and capital deployment via bolt-on acquisitions to existing platform companies.

The Fund’s objective is to invest in a broad range of infrastructure and infrastructure-related assets located primarily in the US, Canada, Western Europe and Australia, and secondarily in other OECD countries. The Fund seeks to invest in assets where it either has a control position, or its rights permit significant management influence. IIF personnel look to add value to these investments via the formulation and implementation of business process improvement, active asset management and board participation.

The Infrastructure Investments Group is seeking to hire an Associate - Investment Principal to play an integral role in sourcing, acquiring and the subsequent management and oversight of infrastructure assets. This person will be involved in all aspects of the investment and asset management processes including sourcing new transactions, underwriting, due diligence, and closing on new transactions as well as creating value on closed transactions by actively managing the assets through board participation and partnership with the executive management teams.

Responsibilities include:

Working closely with senior IIF team members to effect long term strategies for the Fund, including:

  • Interaction with sellers, partners, investment bankers and advisors to source and review select acquisition opportunities, including leading deal and structuring teams.
  • Analyzing / screening investment opportunities from a qualitative and quantitative perspective. Including having an active role in due diligence and working/managing third party experts/advisors and being prepared to discuss preliminary findings with colleagues and superiors.
  • Drafting of investment memorandums for both internal investment committee and external client presentations. Responsible for presenting investment opportunities to internal investment committee and/or external clients.
  • Development and execution of business plans around each individual asset during and subsequent to acquisition.
  • Overseeing and managing the shareholder relationships with investee companies, operating partners and co-investors.
  • Active involvement and ownership of budgeting process at investee companies.
  • Supporting all aspects of fund raising activities.
  • Monitoring and maximizing the cash flow from the investments.


  • Experience in PE/Infrastructure buy-side investing, Investment Banking, Project Finance and/or related infrastructure operating company experience.
  • c.3 years in Acquisitions, Advisory or Credit capacity.
  • Expertise in selected industry and/or asset types (i.e., transportation, energy, power, water, etc).
  • Experience with infrastructure assets preferred.
  • European language skills beneficial.
  • Robust quantitative and analytical skills; very detail oriented.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Experience in structuring transactions and DCF modelling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of integrity and ethics. Ability to multi task projects simultaneously.
