Drawing on JPMorgan Chase’s unique proprietary data, expertise, and market access, the Institute develops analyses and insights on the inner workings of the global economy, frames critical problems, and convenes stakeholders and leading thinkers.

The JPMorgan Chase Institute is seeking candidates for the position of Outreach Manager, located in Washington, DC. The Outreach Manager will be responsible for development and management of strategic outreach activities that both raise the profile of the Institute and amplify its research releases. S/he will work closely with the President/CEO, Chief of Staff, Research Directors, and Institute colleagues and vendors to increase awareness of and engagement with Institute research.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Institute outreach and stakeholder engagement activities, which include:
o Development of tailored, multi-channel engagement strategies to connect relevant stakeholder and audience networks to Institute research and Institute leadership, and to increase recognition of the Institute as a thought leader in economic policy and research communities of interest
o Management of Institute outreach contractors, including vendor work planning, contract evaluation, and ensuring effective communication with Institute team
o Development and oversight of external programming plan, e.g., report launch events and thematic research convenings, to support outreach strategy
o Partnership with Chief of Staff and other Institute operations and communications colleagues to set strategic release dates and manage Institute editorial calendar
o Delivery and project management of timely results
• Identify internal and external stakeholder collateral needs and lead collateral development
o Identify connections between Institute research agenda and relevant current policy dialogues to strengthen outreach and communications messaging
o Review and draft, as needed, external materials to ensure accurate representation of research and thorough copy editing standards in all Institute collateral, e.g., email communications, stakeholder toolkits, event collateral, and other promotional materials
o Advise Institute leadership on the translation of complex economic research into compelling narratives
o Anticipate and troubleshoot communication challenges for specific audiences
• Liaise with senior and mid-level colleagues across JPMorgan Chase to manage a robust stakeholder outreach program with targeted internal and external audiences
o Maintain strong working relationships with communications, public affairs, and other corporate partners to ensure strong internal coordination, risk mitigation, and delivery of Institute research to target audiences
o Build and maintain relationships across the firm to effectively leverage JPMC networks and platforms, and to promote and distribute Institute content
• Mentor and develop Outreach Associates by providing feedback on work product, developing individual and team capacity, and inspiring team performance
o Provide direction on outreach workstreams, troubleshooting issues as they arise 
• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
• 6-10 years relevant experience in public affairs, strategic communications, and/or marketing required
• Track record of developing and executing compelling outreach campaigns with measurable results
• Experience leading stakeholder outreach and/or content promotion through a variety of channels and/or platforms required; digital outreach experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including executive or senior leadership
• Decisive leader with proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, fast-paced environment, and to work collaboratively to drive results
• Experience leading, managing, and influencing team members to deliver results; prior experience leading and mentoring colleagues and teams strongly preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; familiarity with economic and consumer finance topics preferred
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at same time
• Demonstrates sound judgment and collaborative decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; flexibility to manage a portfolio of fluid priorities and timelines
• Passion for Institute mission a must
