Our firm is seeking a highly talented Business Management Director candidate for a position on our Chase Merchant Services Operations Management team.  The successful candidate will focus on setting strategic priorities, executive business reporting, financial planning and analysis, business case management, and strategic, high priority performance and efficiency initiatives.

The Business Management Director will partner with the functional leaders and their teams within Chase Merchant Services Operations (inclusive of Fraud, Disputes, Collections, Account Maintenance & Settlement) to not only understand the functional strategy but to ensure the priorities are in alignment with the overall business strategy. This role will work directly with Merchant Services Operations senior leadership on strategic planning, reporting and projects that will ensure we meet JPMorgan Chase operational standards including delivering best in class client experience and instituting the proper planning infrastructure, processes, procedures, and controls to safeguard our company and our clients. This role will provide the opportunity to work with Executive leadership and support projects/initiatives at the forefront of the payments industry. 


  • Develop Merchant Services Operations strategic priorities and objectives in partnership with leadership team
  • Utilize firm-wide reporting tools and applications to consolidate and streamline metrics and reporting (daily, weekly & monthly) for business functions
  • Manage Operations Performance Metrics reporting – produce reporting to monitor key performance indicators, key risk indicators, identify trends and make recommendations to leaders
  • Partner with Finance leaders to manage budget process and ensure team is delivering on commitments
  • Develop multiyear business plans with supporting financial plans (Budget, Headcount, Voice of the Customer/Client)
  • Implement cost and budget management practice
  • Prepare, manage and drive the functional review process across the business including cadence of meetings, distribution of materials, etc.
  • Develop high-quality business presentations that crisply distill complex ideas into simple, clear, actionable messages for senior leaders
  •  Partner with project teams to develop business cases in support of key business objectives
  • Manage location strategy process and facilities needs in partnership with site strategy colleagues in CCB
  • Evaluate opportunities for process improvement activities, engaging business and functional partner teams
  •   Link strategy to execution by pushing for clear objectives, timelines and metrics
  •  Identify and remove barriers to execution, communicating project updates clearly and transparently 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred with 10+ years of business, finance and/or operations experience in the financial services industry
  • 10+ years of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Expertise in MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated track record of driving change and delivering results
  • Proven ability to apply quantitative analytical approach, effective communication (both verbally and written), and experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong time/project management, organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable juggling dynamic/complex projects, and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven excellent end-to-end problem solving, including developing actionable recommendations
  • A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating ability to work in unstructured, dynamic environment
