Role Description
The Regulatory Control Senior Associate will be a member of the global AIS Regulatory Team and will be responsible for analyzing regulatory matters in addition to assessing the impact and implications of any changes.  A major focus of this role will be the review and oversight of investor AML KYC as well as FATCA/CRS. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to understand AML and tax documentation.
The Regulatory Control Senior Associate, reporting to the team Manager will supervise a team of analysts and associates supporting both hedge and private equity funds. As a newly created role within AIS, this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a fast growing team.
Position – AML/Tax Senior Associate – Regulatory Control - Alternative Investment Services
  • Perform analysis on investor accounts, ensuring compliance with AML and FATCA/CRS requirements in accordance with the established work practices, policies and procedures
  • Review, understand and have the ability to discuss AML regulations requirements
  • Respond to investors/clients on AML and FATCA/CRS related queries
  • Attend client/MLRO due diligence visits
  • Participation in investor/client calls
  • Act as an escalation point for complex AML cases
  • Contribute to ongoing and refresher training
  • Review reporting and provision to internal/external stakeholders
  • Research and analysis into AML and other regulatory topics executing sound judgement  to assist in devising the product offering
  • Play an active role in people management, supporting the development of junior team members
  • Implement/enhance procedures as required by regulation or policy
  • Support delivery of the regulatory roadmap
  • Understanding of alternative fund and investor types across multiple jurisdictions
  • Adhere to JPMorgan's established processes and procedures
  • Strive to modify / iterate processes and flows to continually improve accuracy, reduce redundancy, and mitigate risk
Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required (business or legal discipline preferred)
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably with prior experience in alternative funds
  • Experience working with MS Office
  • ManTra/Investran experience an advantage
  • In depth knowledge of AML and Sanctions regulations along with a working knowledge of FATCA and CRS

Position Demands
  • Extended hours may be required nearing deadlines during final stages of key project initiatives (including weekends)
  • Shift coverage may be necessary in delivering certain key projects
  • May require travel
