Job Description:
This person will be responsible for supporting the Fixed Income suite of applications and work with Production Support, Developers, Quality Assurance, Business Analysts, Production Management teams as well as application users.  This person will be instrumental in moving the team towards a DevOps model. DevOps is the practice of operations and development engineers participating together in the entire service lifecycle, from design through the development process to production support.
Required Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be proficient with troubleshooting on java/j2ee/oracle technology stack
  • Experience in research, analysis and resolution of production issues.
  • Experience in developing solutions to production issues and defects.
  • Experience in root cause analysis of issues and defects.
  • Experience in writing technical documentation for production support.
  • Must be able to work with Production Support, Developers, Quality Assurance, Business Analysts, Production Management teams.
  • Must be able to work with excel with limited supervision
  • Must be able to work with development team and towards productivity
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technical degree with 6+ years of experience 
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with diverse teams and demanding clients
Preferred Skills:
Development experience on Java / Oracle technology stack
  • Analysis skills with Java / J2EE / Oracle / Unix
  • Preferred experience in debugging / understanding / developing (added advantage)  skills in software being written in Java / Spring / MyBatis  , Oracle, PLSQL
  • Preferred experience in debugging / understanding / developing (added advantage)  skills of MQ, JMS ,Mule ESB and QPID
  • Experience in performance tuning of SQLs and service level availability improvements
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and monitoring tools like Geneos , Autosys
  • Experience in automation of repetitive tasks to save overall cost and time
  • Experience in clear communication of issues / ideas / solutions to clients , stake holders, upstream and downstream stakeholders.
