VP role based in London forming a part of the FIG Core Europe - Developed Markets Team within CIB Risk EMEA.    The Team covers FIG credit clients within the Eurozone area including France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.


Credit Risk EMEA, London is broadly split into Financial Institutions Group, Corporate and Emerging Markets. FIG covers the full range of financial institutions: banks, broker-dealers, funds, insurers, sovereigns and SPVs, while other industry sectors are looked after by Corporate.




A Credit Risk Officer’s primary responsibilities are: 

  • Daily credit risk management of a portfolio of FIG clients

  • Coordinate team activity by participating in client due diligence, transaction structuring/execution and negotiation of documentation

  • Working alongside senior Credit Risk Officers on more complex transactions

  • Credit expert for a portfolio of clients by completing credit analysis, Risk Review, stress tests and ad-hoc projects

  • Proactively manage the on-going credit relationship by assigning internal rating and recommending credit appetite

  • Maintaining a detailed and proactive knowledge of developments within allocated countries.

  • Responsible for a diligent management of team metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong credit skills. The candidate has to be able to lead in depth due diligence, lead transaction execution and form sound recommendations which will be the basis upon which credit decisions are made

  • Have good working knowledge of derivatives, documentation and banking products

  • Relevant experience and confidence in leading time pressured transactions

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Be able to establish credibility and trust with clients, product specialists and senior credit executives, and to partner with them effectively

  • Good understanding of ISDA / CSA/GMRA and associated documentation.

  • Prime responsibility for the coaching and development of less experienced team members

  • An innate ability to provide strategic oversight and direction on day to day matters

  • Preference for relevant experience of industry sectors.
