Regional Sales Manager – J.P. Morgan Equipment Finance
J.P. Morgan Equipment Finance (EF) is part of JPMorgan Chase’s Commercial Bank and focuses on serving the equipment finance needs of mid-size companies and large corporations. The group finances a wide variety of equipment types using creative structural solutions to achieve client objectives. EF partners with multiple lines of business within JPMorgan Chase to deliver innovative and effective solutions for equipment financing, ranging from $250,000 to over $1 billion. EF serves over 3,000 clients with employees located throughout the United States.
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, setting the strategy and directing the activities of the EF's Large Corporate and Syndications.  Additionally, the Regional Sales manager interacts directly with senior business executives, market managers and senior credit personnel within CCB and the CIB to ensure EF's products, standards and objectives are highly visible and well represented, so clients are provided with an attentive and effective business relationship.  The position requires a proven leader with a persuasive and consensus building style of management, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to introduce innovative solutions to complex problems. 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage/coordinate a team of Territory Managers; responsible for performance management of all Territory Managers within team, including establishing individualized development plans, effectively managing performance issues and tracking and measuring scorecard results
  • Manage a team of four syndication professionals, including establishing development plans, managing performance, and measuring results
  • Responsible for the overall performance objectives of the team,
  • Responsible for assisting Territory Managers with structuring, pricing and closing complex finance transactions for existing bank clients and prospects
  • Works closely with CIB and CCB managers and credit executives to facilitate a strong and mutually beneficial partnership
  • Track team opportunities from the pipeline stage through closing/booking
  • Strong knowledge of overall products within the firm to facilitate referral of clients/prospects to other product groups or lines of business when appropriate alternatives are identified
  • Attend two conferences per year and manage a nationwide territory. Must be able to work independently and a reasonable amount of travel is required
  • Reports to Head of Equipment Finance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in leasing sales or equipment finance
  • Proven track record of effectively managing a sales staff with a commitment to exceeding financial objectives and providing outstanding customer service
  • Strong communication, negotiating and credit skills
  • Ability to excel within a team sales approach
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Expert knowledge of lease finance products as well as industry standards and regulations
  • Strategic mindset and ability to drive both strategic and tactical efforts as necessary
  • Firm grasp of PV calculations, financial analysis and lease/finance pricing models
