The Analyst will join the Global Collateralized Loan Obligations Strategy team in New York, focusing on the US market.

About Collateralized Loan Obligations Research

 

JPMorgan's Global CLO Research group is a 3-person team which develops the bank's views on CLO, CDO and related structured credit markets, and generates trade and hedging recommendations for institutional and corporate clients. Strategists are based in New York and London. The team and its current management has been routinely ranked #1, #2 or #3 in the annual investor polls for well over a decade. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Keeping abreast of CLO/CDO market developments
  •     Maintaining/developing MS Access and MS Excel-based analytics
  •    Partnering with senior analyst and other teams in cross-market efforts (High Yield, ABS, MBS, CMBS, Interest Rates)
  •     Contributing to regular written research publications
  •     Assisting with external client and internal business requests
  •     Attending some client meetings when appropriate
  •     Backing up senior analysts when they are out of the office on business travel
  • Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • This is an analytical role. Candidates must have at least an undergraduate degree in a quantitative or economics, finance or engineering discipline and an outstanding academic record.
  • Sound knowledge of finance, derivatives, statistical analysis and programming not required but a plus
  •  Candidates must have experience of working in financial markets
