Job Description:
The Wealth Management Client Reporting and Data Management Group is responsible for performing maintenance that allows the front office to provide banking, trading and investment services to high and ultra-high net worth clients.  The team interacts with a variety of internal groups including, but not limited to, Client Onboarding, Investors, Bankers, Middle Office, Operations, Client Services and Fiduciary Officers in an effort to assist with client requests, inquiries and/or issues and to ensure proper account opening, maintenance, and credit lending capabilities. The team is also responsible for the integrity of the client’s data in the systems supported across multiple lines of businesses (Client Central, Customer Assist, WorkStation, CASSII, PRISM, SBS, ARR/DDA, OMNI) in support of various types of products owned by our clients, such as managed, custody, brokerage, credit, mortgages, checking/savings, margin, and FX.  The team supports various data remediation efforts to ensure regulatory compliance and to enhance the client experience.

The Operations Manager will be required to partner closely with key business and operations teams, Compliance, Internal Audit, respective Regulators, and senior management to ensure effective change management, documented procedures/standard operating procedures, effective communication of changes to all levels of management and internal partners. The primary focus will be to support business as usual risk mitigation and key initiatives to improving controls. The candidate will have strong analytical skills and communication skills (verbal and written). The candidate will need to work effectively in a team environment and must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technological environment. They must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and have strong organizational skills that enable them to prioritize their work accordingly.

  • Works closely with key business stakeholders, Regional COOs, Legal, Compliance, Business Management, Product & Platform and Technology and ensures best practices
  • Ensure proactive control framework and effective supervisory oversight of all processes
  • As needed, support client facing teams during client conversations regarding maintenance requests.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement; analyzes processes and identifies opportunities for automation and/or tactical solutions to solve for gaps. Liaises as necessary with other business units to enhance end to end operating model
  • Proactive management of policies and procedures; develop new or amend existing policies, guidelines, and desktop procedures and drives locational consistency to meet new and enhanced standards.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to analyze root cause and escalate issues for resolution.
  • Establishes quality metrics and analyzes trends to proactively address opportunities to improve accuracy or timeliness
  • Independent decision making based on good judgment; appropriate balance if risk/reward
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • 5 years of experience within a financial services, operations, audit/compliance field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of risk and control techniques/procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management techniques from both a detection and mitigation perspective
  • Continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business and driving change to improve processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technological environment.
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills, in addition to strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including prioritization.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership to drive best practices around the quality, risk and controls process.
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment to effectively meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Client Documentation requirements a plus
