Our Team

The Private Bank LatAm Team works closely together as a unit and is characterized by its team-based approach to ensure a high level of client service. The Client Onboarding team (COB) plays a critical role at the inception of new client relationships; setting the standard for ongoing execution excellence.   

Private Banking Client Onboarding Specialists and Associates are the primary contact for all account onboarding needs of a Private Banking client.  The COB Team works with bankers, investors, service professionals and operations teams to deliver a seamless and integrated experience to our clients across all Private Banking services.


The Role:

As a Client Onboarding Associate the candidate will provide comprehensive client-onboarding and take onto account opening responsibilities to our local Mexico teams.  This will include collecting, validating and recording client documents and information, leveraging firm technology to set up accounts, working closely with our internal clients, our front office partners and complying with regulatory as well as internal controls.. Our Front Office partners consist of Bankers and Investor Teams.   


Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform comprehensive account-onboarding activities for local Mexico private banking business. 
  • Leverage in-house technology to record client information; liaise with technology to deploy new systems and modify current ones, as needed.
  • Liaise effectively with client-facing teams; provide strategic guidance as needed around client documentation, account opening policies, or global Private Bank standards.
  • Validate client documentation for authenticity and completeness.
  • Assure COB adherence to corporate and regulatory control standards, and local Mexican laws.  Monitor reports, flag issues, and follow-up to timely resolution.
  • Partner regularly with Service team to fulfill client requests; update account information; answer general inquiries.
  • Actively participate in COB projects/priorities (such as suitability repapering, client reference data reconciliation, etc.).

  • Client Onboarding and/or documentation analysis experience is required.
  • Experience in the Financial Services and/or Private Banking industry with a minimum of 5 years.
  • University level studies in law, accounting, or management are desirable.
  • Strong ability to work independently and with appropriate urgency; excellent follow-up habits.
  • Proven success at collaborating across areas and participants to resolve issues, improve efficiency, and foster clear communication channels.
  • Work style characterized by high level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing business priorities.
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish is critical for this position
