As a member of the Home Lending Risk Innovations team, the incumbent will be responsible for arriving at analytical and risk management solutions for Home Lending. In this role, he/she will be a key contributor in a wide variety of business initiatives to develop best-in-class risk capabilities for Home Lending Analytics.
The incumbent will lead work-efforts to research, explore, test and apply cutting edge tools and solutions across the areas of machine learning and artificial intelligence. He/she will be working on multiple proof-of-concept initiatives with the responsibility of assessing and building the best possible solution to a specific business problem. He/she will need to be able to translate and communicate the utility of external applications for existing business problems.
In addition to the above, the incumbent will conduct risk-based analytical work to drive profitable decisions and support risk strategies. He/she will partner with cross-functional teams to collect and organize data and information, perform research and analysis, and present recommendations that influence decision makers and identify solutions. He/she will help liaise between business users and data/IT team to support report requirements development, validate output accuracy and ensure delivery requirements and timelines are met. In this role, he/she will gain knowledge of risk management, controls and infrastructure, as well as develop a solid understand of risk analysis and how it evolves and impacts the business.
The incumbent would work in a cross-functional, multi-geography team, effectively sharing knowledge and ideas; work with different business partners to create a collaborative work environment of learning as well as efficient execution. This role may involve a reasonable degree of informal people leadership; for the points mentioned above, the incumbent may have to occasionally play the role of an enabler, coaching and guiding newer team members to achieve each of these tasks. Strong communication skills, coupled with the ability to be an effective team player, would be critical to this role
