Job Description:
Firmwide Oversight and Control (O&C), was designed to ensure a strong and consistent control environment across the organization from front office to back office, regardless of line of business or functional area. With Control Officers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, we have a comprehensive coverage/accountability model that promotes firmwide dialogue and consistency in approach and solutions.

The O&C Applications team works collaboratively with other control disciplines and oversees existing control functions as well as the development of new control functions and protocols.
This process enables the firm to engage the appropriate teams in a timely manner and provides the ability to quickly remediate critical control issues across all the impacted areas of the firm.
The Business Analyst will support O&C Applications Requirements and UAT; working together with O&C and business SMEs to coordinate establish requirements, test, defect triage and escalation of Issues/Risks for the Controls Room.  The role will also involve working closely with the technical developers and component testers to ensure testing of requirements have been sequenced correctly for UAT.  The successful candidate will need to work with the multiple constituencies to ensure correct reporting of status and appraisal of effort and solutions, and be delivery focused with a keen eye toward program, project and artifact completion to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for helping manage (from a business perspective) the full system development life cycle from business requirements analysis and data feed definition, to data mapping and working with Development, QA and Business teams to facilitate feed, application functionality, and regression testing
  • Review Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, and Test Cases to understand the functional and technical requirements in order to support UAT testing of applications and verify UAT exit criteria are successfully met
  • Creation of detailed UAT plans and strategies to manage the UAT process
  • Implementation of enhancements to the processes and tools to improve management information systems and reporting regarding control issues, at an enterprise-wide level
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of monitoring technologies and monitoring strategies. Learn the compliance and regulatory aspects driving Line of Business monitoring needs.  Apply this knowledge to improve projects, determine solutions and resolve issues
  • Manage/participate in multiple project work-streams concurrently



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the Finance or Technology Industry
  • Significant experience in systems development life cycle (SDLC) ideally using an Agile type methodology.
    Experience developing Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, Process Flows, Use Cases, UAT Scripts and designing reports
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, detail oriented, interpersonal and writing skills (including meeting minutes/documentation)
  • Flexible and adaptive; demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment
  • Experience project managing small to large scale projects
  • Experience working with varied levels of management
  • Experiencing working in both team and independent environments
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Advanced skills for MS Office Suite applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
  • Project management and programming experience a plus (Experience with SQL, Java, C, C++, XML, SQL, HTML, and Visual Basic)
