Role Description
 As a Resource Manager you will oversee a team of project professionals who manage complex technology related programs and projects including LOB Technology demand, end user, network, distributed, mainframe, cyber security and real estate build out related services and technologies. These projects support the growth and operational stability of the JPMC business in addition to delivering enhanced technology and cost reductions into the operating environment.
The Resource Manager Position is a senior role involved in the different stages of the success of a project including the funding, planning, scheduling, implementation, and tracking processes. GTI PMO Resource Managers are responsible for effectively staffing projects and programs  based on the Firm’s goals and priorities as well as their team’s abilities and capacity. In addition the Resource Manager will assist project managers as needed in their efforts to coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of projects. The  Resource Manager will ensure adherence to master plans and schedules, develop solutions to project problems, ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, act as advisor to project manager team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
•Team leadership and mentoring
•Managing project staffing requests  and assignments based on the Firm’s priority and team capacity
•Understanding, monitoring, and maintaining team capacity/demand (including forecasting)
•Managing all HR components for their team including recruiting, hiring ,and on/off boarding Project Managers (PM)
•Ensuring project health and standards through standard execution reviews, project health checks ,and executing project tollgates according to the standard project delivery framework
•Monitoring and help Project Managers maintain project and portfolio finances
•Monitoring team performance metrics
•Assisting PMs with escalations
•Working with the Portfolio Manager, Sponsors and key stakeholders to identify Portfolio priorities  and inter-dependencies that may influence success.  Ensuring any constraints affecting the delivery of projects in the portfolio are effectively escalated and addressed
•Recognizing areas for internal improvement and developing plans for implementing them
•Ensure Business Resilience, IT Risk, compliance and cyber security are raised and considered for all projects managed
•Adherence at all times to JPMC company standards, procedures and policies.
•Resource Managers will also guide their team of PMs and assist as necessary with the following:
•Managing complex projects across multiple locations and GTI services
•Identify project benefits and establish project success criteria
•Define and clarify project objectives, requirements and goals. Develop scope and deliverables. Build timelines and set project milestones
•Develop, obtain approval and track business case financials
•Ensuring projects delivered on time, on budget, and to the agreed scope
•Define, secure and coordinate resource requirements for the project
•Identification and escalation of risks to executive stakeholders
•Supervise the project working group team and manage communications to all project stakeholders
•Manage communications to all project stakeholders
Work Experience
10+ years experience working within an IT project environment with at least 7 – 10 years project management experience a significant amount of which has been at the senior staff level. Proven record of ownership, accountability and driving the successful delivery of complex technical based projects on time and within budget
Extensive experience in managing projects through all phases of the life cycle and expert  working knowledge of an industry recognized Project Management methodology
Strong knowledge of industry standard project management  tools for financial and project reporting. (i.e. Clarity, Beeline, etc.)
Extensive experience building, managing, and motivating a cohesive and effective direct and matrixed team regardless of physical location and cultural background of team members. Proven ability to build strong partnerships with senior leaders and Project stakeholders
Strong  experience and knowledge of technologies, systems, drivers and trends in global investment banking environments backed by a solid understanding of the banking industry fundamentals. Experience and understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, risk and security aspects
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area, or equivalent professional experience preferably in the financial services industry
PMP, MSP, Six Sigma, Agile or other formal project management discipline preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills; Must be able to communicate across functions and teams, up and down the chain of command
Ability to listen, analyze, influence, negotiate and use judgment to solve complex issues in order to accomplish project goals
Ability to present metrics to senior stakeholders

Background in  the Financial Services industry
Fluency in English
Fluency Spanish/Portuguese Desirable
