Technology PMO Strategy Project Manager
The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).
CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.
A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:
  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
  • Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage strategic initiatives with technical teams like road mapping, as-is to be plans, strategic portfolios. Work with cross functional teams to document, manage on a regular cadence and report on strategic roadmaps and program portfolios
  • Define, plan, manage, report and deliver technology projects and programs portfolio
  • Defining and deconstructing technology related problems, prioritizing issues, analysis, and solution creation and implementation
  • Contribute towards the weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reporting processes required within the central PMO team to report on project overall status
  • Communicate program’s path forward; able to articulate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences and senior leadership. Create concise high quality reports, presentations/ power point deck, communication materials for senior management. Articulate key messages in high quality visual PowerPoint presentations
  • Practice knowledge in project and program management processes, tools, templates and management techniques.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed plans with dates and deliverables; defining, analyzing and managing program’s financials / budget
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience with management consulting and or process and technology analyst
  • Experience working as project manager within PMO, managing technical program portfolio reporting and program planning management functions in Financial Services firm.
  • Should be comfortable working with large amounts of Data like financials, project related operations data, technology infrastructure related data etc.
  • An outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), work well in cross-functional teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a team player; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet competing/changing deadlines
  • Excellent and efficient MS Excel and PowerPoint tools; advanced excel skills required
  • Ability to plan, manage and report on multiple mid to large project assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to take action / facilitate buy-in of recommendations
  • Ability to work with a team of SMEs to assess needs, understand requirements, and syndicate solutions
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadliness
  • Experienced, to lead without direct authority with the humility to ‘roll up sleeves’ and drive work forward.
  • Required: at least 5-6 years’ experience as senior analyst or manager with management consulting experience or project manager or PMO Project manager
  • Must have advanced Excel and Power point skills. Working knowledge of CA Clarity and SharePoint a plus.
  • Experience in financial services industry and/or management consulting strongly  preferred
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with at least one named project management methodology; experience with Agile preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
