Business Function:
Fixed Income Middle Office is responsible for supporting the overall Fixed Income investment process, primarily working with portfolio managers, client managers, traders, & risk management. The team’s core functions include ensuring the accuracy of the data & systems used within investment decision making, managing and reporting on the trade-flow processes within front, middle and back-office systems, executing and reporting on attribution and performance of securities in each account and being fully accountable for the end-to-end operating environment. This group also oversees some risk management and business analysis functions and drives strategic projects.


Job Description:
This is an Associate role located at Chater House, Hong Kong. The role’s overall objective is to support the end to end business model including the support of trading, cash management, and the overall fixed income trade operating model. 

The role will also include owning and delivering initiatives aimed to help drive efficiency, mitigate risk, or meet regulatory or firm wide mandates.  The candidate will also be expected to have experience with technical improvements including experience testing front and middle office applications.  The candidate will be expected to possess excellent communication skills to allow the candidate to work with senior business members while also building relationships with other administrative teams. 

Required Skills:
  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an asset management environment
  • Excellent understanding of Fixed Income Securities
  • Strong understanding of trading lifecycle and trade support and settlement functions
  • Familiarity with internal/external financial systems
  • Strong technical & analytical skills, expert level MS Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate complex issues
  • Fluent in Mandarin
  • Organizational skills; track & troubleshoot complex issues and drive solutions
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
