Job Description:
As part of the Commercial Banking Treasury Services (TS) Business Management team, the Business Management Associate (BMA) will play a key role in supporting Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries (MMBSI) TS’s growth agenda by leading key regional and group projects and initiatives, managing critical ongoing regional business needs and to help them drive business results.  The role offers a high level of visibility to the group and regional TS business strategies.  This role will provide primary support to one or more Treasury Services Sales Group Head and their leadership team(s).  She/He will partner closely with the MMBSI business management organization to ensure strong communication and coordination between TS and Banking.  This role represents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to:
  • Gain a high level of visibility into Commercial Banking TS Business Management and Sales
  • Help define, drive and support the agendas of the regional leadership teams
  • Advance to other roles in Treasury Services, CB, Global Finance or elsewhere in the organization
Primary Responsibilities
  • Support and partner with the TS Market Executives and their management teams via tactical and strategic assistance to help drive their business and ensure that the sales teams are well-informed, prepared and motivated
  • Support the TS Market Executives with key business management functions including project management, analysis of sales/management reporting and ad-hoc requests
  • Support business management team to develop, implement and execute key reporting to be leveraged by all levels within MMBSI TS
  • Provide client and prospect portfolio verification and oversight including the initiation of data quality, client and prospect transfers and TMO reassignment requests
  • Act as a local extension between business management and business groups by working on joint projects and managing communication between teams
  • Proactively provide first level support to the sales teams as it pertains to CKC and Scorecard questions, including researching issues, deal control and booking guidelines
  • Identify areas for continued process improvement and enhance efficiencies by generating innovative ideas and solutions
  • Drive staff calls and prepare presentation materials to be shared with management, business groups and other relevant stakeholders


  • Minimum of Bachelors degree – finance or related degree required
  • 2+ years of previous Commercial Banking experience preferred
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task while partnering with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Disciplined project management skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint (PitchPro+), Outlook, Word and Database Management
  • Strong interpersonal and partnership skills and consensus building skills
  • Ability to work with senior management and respond quickly; ability to partner with internal partners and leverage internal resources.
  • An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently and to work well in cross-functional teams
  • Strong time management, organizational, planning and follow-up skills; ability to multi-task effectively and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and attention to the accuracy of the ‘finished’ product
  • Independent, self-motivated and a team player
