The Internal Audit Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team is responsible for providing Internal Audit reports related to departmental activities and the Firm’s control environment. Additionally, the Internal Audit F&BM department also assists Internal Audit Managers to manage their resources e.g., scheduling, finance and data management support.
Internal Audit F&BM provides direct support to JPMC’s Audit Department, which is comprised of over 1,200 auditors globally, reports to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and is further accountable to the Chairman and CEO, senior management and regulatory agencies. Audit is an independent risk assessment function established within the organization to evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management’s system of internal control.
The Internal Audit F&BM team is responsible for supporting Line of Business (LOB) and regional reporting and processes. Through our support of each LOB, we are responsible for various Internal Audit department activities and monitoring of the business’ control environment, including execution of processes related to managing resources, financial planning, and Internal Audit plan delivery. As part of this team, we are responsible for streamlining processes amongst the broader Internal Audit F&BM and Audit Operations teams as well as delivering key finance support focusing on vendor management, contractor invoice management, and expense analysis. Additionally, the team is responsible for collecting, organizing and analyzing data that is used to report audit status, schedule, and financials to senior level management.
This role will be responsible for various reporting, communication, and department activities with a specific focus on the CIB Audit Department, as each team member supports a specific Line of Business and ensures that the reporting needs of each management team are met. The role will have a unique leaning to process-oriented functions, ensuring that the Internal Audit F&BM team has documented processes and is functioning in an efficient fashion. We will be examining best practices across the team and are looking for new ideas and innovative solutions to assist with streamlining processes wherever possible. The position will also involve regular financial reporting, including but not limited to vendor management and time & expense reporting.
