Global Supplier Services Operations manages the operation for the Procure to Pay process within the firm, incorporating Contract Management, Purchase Orders, Corporate Accounts Payable (Expense, Corporate Card, Non-PO payment requests, Fixed Assets), Supplier set-up and maintenance, Indirect Tax, Approval Central and Tickets Controls and Reporting.  This group is responsible for the execution of all operations functions in the Global Supplier Services (GSS) organization.
This Function will reside within the Indirect Tax Operations team of GSS.  The team prepares, files and pays all returns and related payments for US Sales/Use and Personal Property taxes for JPMorgan Chase as well as handling all related audits.  The team also handles all supplier related foreign and domestic US Income Tax Withholding and Reporting; additionally performing a wide range of indirect tax functions associated with Accounts Payable activity for international locations. The team has locations in Columbus, Mumbai, Bangalore, Bournemouth and Buenos Aires.
This Quality Review and Control position is a new role that is part of a larger initiative to build out a global Internal Control and Performance Management program. This position will have an initial integral role in the development of this program. Post implementation, the primary responsibility will be to perform quality reviews and work closely with support staff and the operations managers that oversee each of the three (3) core teams within US ITO; Personal Property Tax, Sales & Use Tax and Tax Withholding and Reporting.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • This candidate will perform both preventative and detective quality reviews of various core ITO processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with respective rules and regulations.
  • In addition to performing these reviews, the candidate will be responsible for:
    • Participating in process walkthroughs and reviewing and understanding departmental procedures and/or job aids in order to effectively review the quality of work
    • Developing and producing monthly performance metrics and participating in status updates with operations managers and applicable leadership teams to discuss results and/or opportunities for improvement
    • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of any actionable items, performing follow-up through completion
    • Identifying, analyzing and reporting errors and/or control gaps
    • Contributing ideas to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency
    • Developing and maintaining all quality related procedures, job aids, and policies
    • Ensuring that all activities are completed prior to stated deadlines
    • Leading and/or assisting in various projects as needed


  • 3+ years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, Internal Control and/or Quality Control/Assurance
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or Business preferred
  • Working understanding of operational risks and related controls
  • Ability to identify trends and perform root cause analysis, producing meaningful metrics with recommendations for improving processes and increasing efficiency
  • Strong skills in time management, problem solving, written and oral communication
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work well both individually and in teams, shares information and supports colleagues
  • Ability and desire to learn quickly, be flexible, and think strategically
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, willingness to take ownership of projects
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
