Main Responsibilities: 

  • Managing the end-to-end technology requirements for the Australia Equities business. 
  • Facing off to senior business sponsors in Australia. The business areas cover cash agency, synthetic prime, delta 1 and volatility trading. 
  • Responsible for all aspects of technology from front office sales and trading through to middle office and client servicing through to back office. 
  • Ownership of local Australia applications (including vendor applications such as ORC and IRESS). 
  • Oversight of global technology projects impacting Australia. 
  • Managing a local team of 5 technologists and representing Equities Technology in local senior technology governance. 
  • Ownership of Australia Equities technology control and regulatory agenda. Facing-off to local technology, compliance and audit functions.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience of managing large-scale end-to-end Equities technology programs. Front Office Technology experience preferred. 
  • Experience of running global / regional technology programs. 
  • Expert domain knowledge in either equities cash or derivatives business. 
  • Ability to face-off to senior business sponsors. 
  • Able to influence global / regional technology leaders. 
  • Experience of running control and regulatory projects within an application delivery framework. 
  • Educated to degree level.
