The role works collaboratively with the JPMS Financial Advisor in a consultative approach to implement the Wealth Management process along with investment portfolios. The individual will accomplish this by having a full understanding of the Advisory Platforms, structure of our FAs business mix, global economy and market environment. To be successful in this role the individual will need to understand the various investment platforms, products/investment strategies and firm's investment themes and positioning to effectively and succinctly translate to our Financial Advisors and clients.  The individual will also work closely with his/her team members, JPMS FAs, colleagues in Due Diligence, Product Management, Compliance and the firm’s third party investment partners.  One must demonstrate a natural curiosity for the global markets, wealth management and investing, have ability to multi-task hold a client service/sales perspective, demonstrate independent initiative and be responsive.
  • Serve as a resource to JPMS Financial Advisors, as it relates to strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio construction and manger selection.
  • Ability to translate the firm's investment views and position in various settings: one-on-one meetings/calls with FAs, conference calls with field, branch presentations
  • Research, collect, and analyze investment performance data and portfolio characteristics across various asset classes and strategies leveraging analytical tools. Prepare quarterly write-ups on investment strategies with regards to relative performance, portfolio positioning and outlook.
  • Advise, identify and select appropriate managers, vehicles for client portfolios keeping in mind the risk tolerance, diversification attributes and return expectations of the overall portfolio.
  • Review current research (both internal and external) to better understand current investment environment and macro outlook.
  • Track team's work flow on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Active participant in team discussions to pro-actively propose investment solutions, implementation ideas and industry trends that can be shared with the field.
  • Ad-hoc analysis & projects.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Series 7 & 66 required- Successful completion shall be required shortly after employment begins.
- Self-starter with natural curiosity for the marketing and investing.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills (MS Office skills particularly Excel)
- Strong team player with a predisposition to sales/service function.
- 2-4 years of related investment experience
