Job Description:
The CIB Resiliency Automation team is part of CIB transformation pillar Software Delivery Modernization. We are responsible for ensuring that CIB demonstrates and improves the resiliency recovery procedures of its applications through automation. Our team interacts with our partners in Application Development, Corporate and Global Infrastructure teams. The CIB business relies heavily on having stable and resilient applications to be able to provide clients and governments with a first class service, all the time.

Our team understands resiliency requirements, drives company policy and engages with support teams to ensure that the 1000+ applications design, build, test and execute automated recovery plans efficiently and effectively during an incident.

The demand for automation is ever growing with requirements from Regulators to perform disaster recovery tests and Sustained Resiliency events more often. To create the more stable production environments we need to automate various talks like deployments, health checks, server patching and failovers etc.; hence huge scope for automation.

Primarily you will be focused on:

  • Be the first one to know the new tools/frameworks and perform feasibility study through proof of concept and also help senior management to take decision on strategic tool/framework
  • Maintaining & developing new features for frameworks that automate DR pair flips and functional health checks
  • Developing micro services to automate a variety of tasks for use by CIB applications
  • Providing technical support to the automated start/stop, deployment, functional health checks and failover programs
  • Presenting and influencing wide range of audiences

Currently we are looking for an ambitious problem-solver who will be directly involved with driving the on going CIB wide automation initiatives. The ideal candidate would have:

  • A strong technical background, desire to learn and would be comfortable interacting with stakeholders regularly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area
  • Proven knowledge in Java, JavaScript, VBA, CSS and HTML
  • Hands on experience in using web services via APIs, JSON
  • Experience in using GIT/BitBucket
  • Sound understanding of Object Orientated Data Structures

    Experience in Java: Concurrency, Junit, Maven, Design patterns, Angular.js, Selenium is desirable
